I liked it was placed in the countryside, but still it was close to main roads and the sightings we wanted to experience around D-Day.
The house had all you need, nice living room, good beds, kitchen and bathroom was also good.

Greg, the host was very kind, most knowledgeable and passionate about local history, D-day. He recommended outstanding places to visit and remember. We slept very well and the breakfast was fantastic. Many thanks to Greg for making our stay comfortable and memorable, attending to our every needs. Our children will long remember their ride in Greg’s original WWII Jeep Willys.

Very charming guesthouse - beautifully renovated
Breakfast was authentic/ homemade and it was everything we needed. The homemade cake is amazing!

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and met our expectations. The breakfast was plentiful and just as we expected. Additionally, the host was able to speak both French and English.

A charming château that gives you the feeling you've walked back in time to 1945.Our host, James, kind and friendly, was a wealth of knowledge about the area and especially WW2. The rooms were large with a view of the large property. The castle has a moat around it which adds to its charm. The bedroom wallpaper and windows are quite old which adds to its charm. If you're looking for a place that feels as though you live there, this is the place. There are outbuildings to be explored as well as a small lake, fruit trees and roses. There are several places to sit outside in the shade. One evening we had a picnic supper at the table provided. There is no AC but even though it was warm during the day, it cooled down at night to be able to sleep comfortably with the windows open. Definitely no hesitation in recommending Le Château de Vouilly !
