chateau de serrigny is not for you if you like pristine modern hotels. However if you want to immerse yourself in beautiful surroundings and step back in time I urge you to stay here. Yes it is in need of refurbishing but that seems to add to its charm. There's something interesting to look at around each corner and that includes beautiful antique furniture. Our bathroom was spotless and the bed really comfortable. We were served breakfast in the dining room. Apparently it's usually outside which would be lovely but it was raining. I felt as if I'd accidentally sat down at a table during a visit to a stately home.! There seemed to be only one member of staff during our stay. he was very helpful and on hand if you need anything. We booked the chateau to break our journey from the alps to Reims but I would definitely stay there again.
