The owner, Eric welcomed us, he was very kind and helpful, explained the things to know in the property and things to do in this charming town. Very nice touch a bottle of welcoming locally made apple juice.
The apartment felt like home to home. Equipped with everything you need and more. Bed was super comfortable. The property is decorated all in a style with warm atmosphere. Lots of parking available around the property.
Non-touristy French town with friendly locals. LIDL and Leclerc supermarkets just a few minutes walk from the hotel, MacDonalds also within walking distance for those who need their fix. Well positioned for Belgium day trips and Dunkirk, easy access to main travel routes. DFDS ferry just 20 minutes by car. Clean, well-kept properties all around and beautiful agricultural scenery.
The place was a real gem. I have told a lot of friends about how good Northern France is but everybody just shoots through from the ferry port or tunnel without a thought. This was truly a find. The proprietors were brilliant and made our one night a very pleasurable experience. We had been planning on staying in Brussels ( what a hole that is ) I cannot speak to highly of the hotel and the owners.
To sum up the beds were the probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in, they felt very new and medium to firm which was great. Oliver behind the desk was great, polite & very helpful, for me this hotel was everything it needed to be for a quick stay. I am happy too score it 8.5 to 9. Thank you Oliver for your hospitality.
Breakfast was just average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't special. But still enjoyable.
The hotel itself was clean, although a few damages in the room I noticed upon arrival. And a bulb not working correctly in the bathroom.
