Very clean and functional rooms (I especially liked the fact that the floor had a thick lino not those terrible Polyester carpets). Location was excellent for both getting there by car and using public transport. Very good value for money. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed some darts & pool in the bar. Rooms are spacious. The side road is quiet and parking is available.

Lovely old building well looked after. Especially loved the pool after a very long drive.
We wanted a quiet place for an overnight stay on our long roadtrip over Europe. And we got so much more! We got warm, charming staff serving drinks past the bar closure time, we got a roe-deer quietly welcoming us under the hotel window, we got serenity where we did not expect it, we got an art exhibition in the coridors of the hotel, we got a lovely little morning walk with a view across the hils, we got to meet happy people with happy dogs (absolutely pet friendly!)
The hotel building and size of the grounds are impressive. It is quiet with comfortable beds and bedding. The room size is adequate The staff is calm and kind. We would return.
