Breakfast was excellent and the hosts very welcoming. The location VERY rural (our sat nav didn't know it existed) but our host kindly met us nearby and led us to the property.

The hosts, Anthony and Heidi, were really friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. This is a beautiful, undiscovered area. The room was comfortable and well equipped. They lent us maps and gave advice so that we could explore on our bikes. Anthony helped with putting our bikes off and on the roof rack, which was much appreciated.

Set in the main street of Aubusson, this hotel is the ideal place to discover this beautiful city famous for its tapestry and exhibitions. The Le Chapitre hotel is a good value for money...

SGLP is just a sleepy little village in the Limousin ... and that's a large part of its charm. Very friendly people, helpful, glad to see you. If you want a small-city fix, Aubusson is just 20-30 minutes away to the east, as is Bourganeuf to the west. And if you want an even bigger city, Clermont-Ferrand is about 90 minutes east. But SGLP is its own thing, and it's starting to be reclaimed as a spot to visit. Lots of expats live in the area and the number is growing (I'm one of the newbies). It's a great central location for day-trip travel to so many great places, yet it is completely crime-free and old-school. There is one B&B and two gites that I saw there (I stayed in the Maison Coubarien, a family-run and fairly new B&B). Beautiful bucolic area.
