Breakfast was excellent and the hosts very welcoming. The location VERY rural (our sat nav didn't know it existed) but our host kindly met us nearby and led us to the property.

The evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The hosts were welcoming and easy to talk to and the other guests staying at the same time were lovely. We enjoyed the comfy room and nice company as well as a nice walk around the area. A perfect place to stay to break our trip up. I have already recommended Chez Jallot to someone!

SGLP is just a sleepy little village in the Limousin ... and that's a large part of its charm. Very friendly people, helpful, glad to see you. If you want a small-city fix, Aubusson is just 20-30 minutes away to the east, as is Bourganeuf to the west. And if you want an even bigger city, Clermont-Ferrand is about 90 minutes east. But SGLP is its own thing, and it's starting to be reclaimed as a spot to visit. Lots of expats live in the area and the number is growing (I'm one of the newbies). It's a great central location for day-trip travel to so many great places, yet it is completely crime-free and old-school. There is one B&B and two gites that I saw there (I stayed in the Maison Coubarien, a family-run and fairly new B&B). Beautiful bucolic area.
