It was a great, quiet, rural location, yet two miles to the little nearby town and only 15 minute drive from Rennes. The property was impeccably maintained and thoughtfully appointed. Unlike some properties, it seemed as if the hostess chose the furniture and essentials rather than just using leftover junk. The bathroom and shower were amazing. Towels were good quality and absorbent. Bed was comfortable (a bit hard for this American, but French beds are hard anyway and that's just a matter of taste. This was certainly better than others I've slept in in France). Host was extremely nice. Google maps takes you past the property to another one also labeled #1 on the same street. She got in her car, drove down the street to find us, and escorted us back! Very helpful host! The other thing that was great was that she left clear instructions about how to use appliances and things (in French) and did not expect us to be her maid service when we left! I've about had it with these properties that charge a cleaning fee, yet expect you to do all the cleaning before you leave, and this place did not do that. Consequently, we did our best to leave it very neat when we departed. Finally, there is a beautiful back yard area with lounge chairs that is perfect for relaxing. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Exceptionally welcoming with stunning house and surroundings. Greg, the host was very kind, most knowledgeable and passionate about local history, D-day. He recommended outstanding places to visit and remember. We slept very well and the breakfast was fantastic. Many thanks to Greg for making our stay comfortable and memorable, attending to our every needs. Our children will long remember their ride in Greg’s original WWII Jeep Willys. We will be back!

Elodie contacted us before our arrival and kept in touch about our arrival time, which was later than anticipated. She came around to give is the key and gave us a full explanation about the property, which was very helpful. The house is spacious and charming. It is beautifully decorated and Elodie pays attention to the small details that make a big difference. It's also great for families, with a large garden, games and toys for kids and an outside seating area. She even prepared some treats for the kids and brought over local produce, such as honey, butter, fruit and vegetables from her garden. She is a great host and looked after us very well. The location is good – quiet but close to villages and tourist attractions.

Very charming guesthouse - beautifully renovated Breakfast was authentic/ homemade and it was everything we needed. The homemade cake is amazing! We loved the salon with the fireplace where we could sit in the evening. Corinne is a top host!
