This is a pleasant country house hotel in a lovely wooded valley setting on the edge of town. The annex is somewhat lacking in charm but we acknowledge that this is reflected in the price when compared to rooms in the main hotel. We felt welcome on arrival and the staff were attentive throughout. The extensive garden is a real delight and we had a very good breakfast outside sitting under a mature walnut tree. The restaurant was pleasingly busy and the food was excellent. The chef seems to have opted for a short menu format presumably in order to sustain his high standards as against providing a wider choice for residents staying for several nights.
Situated close to the thermal centre, 400 metres from the city centre and 200 metres from the casino, the hotel offers guest rooms only a few minutes walk from the train station.
