Nice, quiet room. Very close to ferry terminal -- finding it was easy. There's a lovely communal sitting out area near the front desk. I arrived near midnight and someone was at the desk to check me in. Parking is great, and very secure.

Fantastic breakfast with good choice. The hotel were so accommodating - we had an early departure to catch our ferry and they laid on breakfast early. So impressed!
Located in the heart of Ouistreham, a 5-minute drive from the ferry port, Hotel Le Cosy Riva Bella is an ideal place to relax after a day spent discovering the Côte Fleurie and the D-Day landing...

Easy access. Arrived after 6pm but hotel manager was very helpful and welcoming on the phone giving clear instructions to enter.
Excellent location near sea and pedestrian street. Lots of bars and restaurants and shops yet not noisy.
Very convenient for catching early ferry to UK next morning.
Situated in central Ouistreham, this ibis Styles property is just 500 metres from the beach and the fishing harbour. It offers en suite rooms with elevator access and free internet access.

Excellent location for ferry. Clean and comfortable room, albeit small.
Ideally located only 14 km north of Caen, La Villa Andry makes an excellent base for discovering the protected area of the Pointe du Siège and the Côte de Nacre.

On this occasion we only stayed overnight but we have had two previous week-long stays with grandchildren in rented accommodation. The beach is stunning and what fun to watch the ferries coming and going! This is a place very much overlooked by British families looking for a nice French holiday. As elsewhere the weather can be variable but when sunny, it’s glorious. And there is so much to do in the area with all the Normandy Landing history on the doorstep.

It is a lovely place to discover, beautiful walkways along the the marina, the historic center is pretty. The big problem is the presence of the africans,, all young men with Iphones and trendy clothing, certainly not refugees, lurking around everywhere, day and night, breaking into UK cars, if they are big enough to try to get to England. They are squatting around every corner, littering , urinating etc. Really it is a shame.

We were getting there to eat at "La moulerie" in front of the Casino (for sea food) and get to the "Criée" early in the morning to buy fish and sea food. We managed to get everything done properly.

I really wasn't there long enough to say anything about Ouistreham itself - I stopped briefly in Caen on the way and I certainly enjoyed the old half-timbered houses in the centre. The Castle will be a must see on my next visit, as will the beautiful old Norman/Romanesque churches and the nearby coastline, such as nearby-Dives-sur-Mer, where I stayed on a previous trip to Normandy and I can certainly recommend with its ancient church. Falaise Castle, said to be the castle of William the Conqueror, is the far side of Caen.

We have been here 20+ times as it is our twin town. The beach is lovely, the town is pleasant and we always have a good time. We stayed here in the hotel for one night after a trip further south and chose the Hotel du Phare because of its position. It is a typical, old style French hotel. The drains smell was off putting: the breakfast was good and the staff excellent.

Be prepared to walk a lot, so comfy shoes a must, I did find out on my last day that you can hire push bikes at the beach per hour, which is great because Ouistreham and it’s surrounding are quite big, the beaches are spotless and very impressive as is the history surrounding the area, I would say the area is very geared up for French tourism, so a basic grasp of French is a good idea, as most menus, and staff only speak French, having said that, there are plenty of English speaking people around in case your struggling !!
Everything
This was the best equipped apartment we have stayed in out of maybe 50 plus
In addition the host has taken a lot of trouble and imagination to add style and care
Communication was excellent
Close to beach and restaurants and we stayed for 2 nights which allowed time to visit the Normandy beaches and it was only 10 minutes to the ferry port for our early ferry back to Portsmouth
Could have easily stayed for longer
Excellent location but care should be made not to confuse this hotel with the similary named more up market Riva Bella hotel on the seafront. Convenient for a selection of good restaurants. Hotel a little noisey from outside deliveries early morning. Every bang or clash reverberated around the hotel.Breakfast just adequate but well delivered. 5 parking places not advertised were convenient.
No facilities that I could see. The room was very small, the bed super uncomfortable with two very small pillows which looked like they belong in a cot. The shower room was tiny and the toilet inadequate due to the number of attempts it took to flush the thing. Only thing this hotel has going for it is it's proximity to the ferry port.
The room was beautiful and clean. There is a real family-business sense about the place and service was good and was very personalised. The hotel was full of charm and I would definitely recommend on balance. Very relaxed but attentive customer service.
Nothing. It was so horrendous that we stayed for about half an hour before deciding the situation was unsalvagable, and we left and got a room at a nearby hotel. This us a terrible accomodation for someone who's got to catch an early ferry.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good value breakfast. Nice, clean and modern room with hot drinks supplied. Good location for exploring Ouistreham or the wider region. Close to the ferry terminal and town centre with good restaurants nearby.
Didn't have breakfast had early ferry to catch could start earlier but set up looked really good. Location perfect for bars, restaurants, boulanger, beach and ferry port. Staff very welcoming and lovely quintessential period hotel.
Hotel is in a very convenient location for the ferry port and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The team were helpful with secure bike storage, even when we messed them around.
I booked this hotel just for its location to the Ferry port I was booked on the first Ferry to Portsmouth the next day.
breakfast and accommodation all good friendly staff spoke English.
The Staff of the Hotel were excellent!!! We would like to thank in particular the Woman who had family from Lancaster, PA, USA. She was very helpful and always facilitating our stay.
Excellent location for ferry port, out of hours welcome worked fine and hotel is located in a walled compound which is secure overnight. Good range of items available at breakfast.
