When I arrived the summer hiking season was basically finished- shops and restaurants closing. David, the owner and chef at the gite, was enormously kind, providing meals and lovely accommodation. He also provided excellent hiking maps for Orcieres and adjacent valleys and helpful suggestions for itineraries. His Demi pension meals made with local produce were extraordinary and delicious.
Lovely hotel 2 mins out of the station in a calm area. Breakfast with a view of the mountains. The owners were very kind and advised us where to hire our skis. (In a shop where you can leave the skis etc over night, and don’t have to carry them back to the hotel!)
We stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting family nearby and were surprised by this little gem of a hotel. Great sized room with mezzanine layout, and the facilities on offer were great. View from our window of the mountains was truly breathtaking!
