The host is charming and gave us a warm welcome despite our language barrier and we were made to feel at home straight away. The house is beautifully and quirkily furnished and our stay was a lovely experience. Breakfasts are tasty and very filling and nothing is to much trouble. The village of Noyers is exceptionally picturesque and we enjoyed a walk around it and to the castle ruins reached along the river (although a high climb up through the woods). At times we felt like the only two there as September is obviously a quieter month but still had a few restaurants to choose from, both excellent but different; Le Fooding Bar and Restaurant de la Vieille Tour are highly recommended.
Located in Noyers, Côté-Serein suites familiales du Clos offers a shared, outdoor swimming pool, garden and BBQ facilities. Montbard is just a 35-minute drive from the property.

Extremely warm and friendly welcome. Marie-Noelle and her staff were most kind and helpful. Very good breakfast. Small but fully equipped kitchen in our apartment. Absolutely lovely garden with nice pool. Very quiet, yet close to the town with shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Incredible building, very special.
.
Spacious room that might be described as a "PERIOD REPLICA". or most likely is ORIGINAL.
.
LUXURY plus bathroom.
.
Wonderful welcome by the host.
Very helpful in finding a late booking for a restaurant
.
The further negative comments did not detract from what we liked.

Everything! may seem trivial, but that's the word that best fits our experience. the location and the surroundings are amazing. stunning views, peaceful and relaxing. the house is spectacular and made particular furnishings and details of great taste. a unique location next to an old church with an ancient story and by the alluring charm. the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Christoph is a great host and very nice person to talk with, so interesting... admirable his social involvement.
breakfast is amazing, rich and tasty.
Very quaint “little” place. But we should have called in and moved on. Out of 4 restaurants only 1 was open!!!! And that was absolutely fully booked
There’s more accommodation than restaurants.
The boulangerie sells superb croissants though
There is a tea shop right in the centre but $5.5 euro for a cup of tea - crickey!!
The butchers sells amazing cheese and other yummy produce

Depending on the time of year, especially out of season you can be limited on restaurant openings, otherwise there is a good selection of local fine fare available - (don't rule out the mobile Pizza van if he is in the vicinity)
The town is stunning and intriguing - it is perfect to reach and explore on foot from Le Prieure, just a very relaxed atmosphere and slightly slower pace of life, perfect if you are stopping off whilst travelling through France.

Noyers is out of a story book.
Noyers is out of a story book. An entry gate at each end of town, all the streets are cobbled, timbered houses abound, old wood and stone sculptures, a weekly market, an old church with beautiful stained glass windows, excellent well priced restaurant next to the gate, many round turrets from the old fortress, a hike to the 6th century ruined castle that overlooks the town, a calming walk along the river that borders the town, a great hub for visiting many nearby sights.

Only stayed for one night but this was perfect after spending a week in the south of France already. Very quiet with almost all restaurants shut, the one that was open (Vieille Tour) was superb. Walk up to the castle is short and picturesque.

Comfort in a truly unusual setting; part of the external wall of a round tower formed one side of my bedroom. Breakfast was in the old Hotel Dieu chapel.
The mattress was very comfortable.
The view over the river to the flood meadows beyond and the chateau in the distance on the hill top.
Really enjoyed our stay at Le Prieuré. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds and setting were beautiful. We received good recommendations from the owners and really loved exploring this beautiful village.
We received a very warm welcome from our host Lionel, Our room was fabulously eclectic, with a balcony and a view of the river. It wasn't just a hotel it was an experience. Thank you Lionel.
