You won’t believe your eyes or your luck with Chez Marie. Million dollar views of the countryside & Pyrenees. A small family vineyard is planted in front of the terrace. Several scenic roads are a joy to drive to & from this area called Le Gers. We would love to keep this home our little secret, but this place & host family are too wonderful. The house is very clean & well-equipped for foodies who want to cook or if you need to do laundry. Tile floors are easy to clean & the house is spacious enough for living and working from home. The internet was strong enough for video meetings & a more powerful internet was being installed in the street while we were there. The host family are the best humans. We were arriving near 7pm. So our host suggested reserving a local restaurant and found one who would take dogs. What a kind gesture! Anyone would adore them as neighbors. They also gave us tips on markets & the best local wines. We enjoyed the 10 min drive to Samatan & Lombez for local products, supermarkets, many Boulangeries & butchers. This is the real French country life & we embraced all the breads, cheeses, local shops. This was a work trip & Toulouse is about 50-60 min drive on the prettiest roads. From this base camp, we were a few hours from the Atlantic coast, Mediterranean coast, the mountains, Andorra, Spain, Carcassonne & more. The host allows dogs & our dogs might have loved this place more than their own home.

We hired the whole property (main house and surrounding rooms) and couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The pools (three pools plus a hot tub) were all great and the outdoor cooking facilities were perfect.

The hosts are amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The breakfasts are fantastic, the bread,the yoghurt, the jams, they are superb and are made by the hosts. The food in the evening was sublime. The menu was good, and it was homemade French food at its best. All presented with a flair and passion. Most of what we ate was produced in the host's own garden. Thank you for making our stay with you so enjoyable and relaxing.
