Loved the medieval part of town.

Loved the medieval part of town. A great surprise was the Museum of music - well worth a visit and one of the few places open on a Sunday. Had a really great lunch at Bistrot Saint Jean - one of the few places open on a Sunday.

Very little to see in Montlucon itself apart from a world-class music museum and a war museum. The old quarter is interesting in passing and facilities for visitors to the town are generally well-considered albeit public toilets are limited. Eating out can be disappointing.

A medium sized walkable city with much to enjoy! The train station is within 4 minutes walk from the city center which offers endless shops, grocery stores like Monoprix, restaurants, places to visit like the chateaux straight from the station and the beautiful river! The cities best attributes are that it is walkable and everything is within reach. The people are kind and not stressed out like many major cities. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return!

Montlucon has lots of heritage, a medieval town centre with castle! Also a great Pop Music museum. Lots of local shops and plenty of variety with restaurants. Great town. Would love to spend more time there another time.

As mentioned our stay was far to short as there were some remarkable things to see, but we did have dinner in the old quarter and there was plenty of restaurants to choose from and there was a vibrant feel around the area

Ok for an overnight stay as location is very good for local restaurants but the bathrooms are very small and a bit sub-standard by today's standards, Staff were very friendly and breakfast selection was excellent although the breakfast room was not the best & rather less than comfortable.

We choose this property for the private parking, as we really don't like to struggle to find a public parking spot or have to carry our luggage for long on the street. The apartment is an old one renovated for short term rental. Nothing extravagant or incredibly fancy, but it's clean and functional. The bedrooms are spacious. You can actually cook using equipment and facilities available, not the rotten broken stuff you often find in such rental places. The city center and supermarkets are also close enough to get there walking.

We loved it! The place has been fully renovated and redecorated by the owners and it looks stunning! The room was lovely, spacious, fully equipped, quiet and comfortable. You can park in the courtyard and the old city is 30 seconds away by foot. On top of that the owners are very friendly and the breakfast was fresh and varied with a complete offer of local and homemade products. Definitely a great place to stay if you are in the region.

Our host Lynda was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, and nice and cool in the hot weather. A lovely breakfast - great selection of fresh produce, and served by the host. Situated just a short drive from Montluçon where there's plenty of places to eat and easy parking. We enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. For us it was a great place to break a long journey for just a couple of nights.

The flat was very clean, comfortable and practical for a family. Easy to park in the street. We liked details like having a bit of basic food (oil, tea...) and tea towel, sponge, cleaning products... Also we liked visiting medieval Montluçon and the market on Sunday morning.

Location was ok. It’s a basic hotel. Does what is says on the tin. Not particularly good value for money. NOTE…as I discovered, you cannot check in till 5pm as the hotel isn’t open till then. I arrived at 3.30pm! Booking.com don’t tell you this!,
