It is a roadside economical hotel and it met all those expectations. We needed a place to sleep and have breakfast. Its basic, clean and rooms are a good size, with parking and breakfast. It did not disappoint. It is good value for money.

Excellent restaurant right next door where we enjoyed a tasty meal and good wine. Perouge is charming, but the choice of restaurants etc was very limited, and when we were there most places were shut. La Berangere is in walkable distance of the old town. 20 minutes uphill.

Not much is the answer. The bed linen was of good quality and there was a choice of pillows and the heavy quilt had been removed and replaced with a simple cotton sheet. Good move. The photos on the room we booked differed from what we got, which was a mix of all the best bits of each room.

Pérouges is a beautiful medieval village and the hotel lies at the heart of it. The view from our room was of picturesque buildings. There was also a lovely (if slightly overgrown) garden out the back in which we had a memorable picnic. The staff were all lovely, very helpful and accommodating.
