The location of the hotel was good as was parking directly opposite the hotel - very reasonable. The room was small but adequate for one night stay, bed comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good served by I guess the owner who was most helpful.

The room was clean and quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The owners were pleasant and friendly.
There was a good bus service into the centre of the city but on foot it was a good 20-25 minute walk to the centre so l’Aiglon is not exactly centrally situated.
However, it is a one star hotel and therefore simple and basic and that needs to be borne in mind in relation to this review.

I'd say that there are better places to visit. The city is very spread out and it seems that you are walking uphill constantly. We have visited a dozen times as it is our nearest large town and we still haven't really discovered any magic about the place.
The people are happy and communal, although there always seems to be the odd drunk staggering into you for money.

A truly French Town!
A truly French Town! Loved it, in particular Quartier de la Boucherie, with it's balloons and lovely little shops. The Cathedral is amazing but the highlight of our very short visit was the indoor food market - Le Halles Centrales - I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! Absollutely spotless with various counters to 'eat and drink' and the food on display was truly inspiring! Will be back, definitely.

There is lots of interesting places to visit and many good restaurants. Pity one can only really eat one dinner per evening! It's a compact city with all sites that one may wish to visit in easy walking distance for the able and lots of public transport for those who are not. Also, they have a free bus that one waves down to take you on a trip around the city though we didn't use it.

Good restaurants and as a meat eater would recommend El boeuf a la mode. Worthwhile to visit early in the day the fresh produce market in the city center. Although not in the city center a visit to Bernardaud to see Limoge porcelain is worth it, despite the fact that, the prices are exorbitant. The countryside around the city is worth exploring with a number of small towns including close.

Being an experienced traveller around various parts of the world,I can recommend Limoges as one of my favourites. The people are very helpful, most spoke some English. Getting around is easy due to a very efficient public transport system. Many and varied eating options, bars, without getting ripped off!
Only downside to Limoges is,there is no public transport into the city,so a taxi each way (28-30 euros)
3/4 days is adequate to see the all of the major sites (the porcelain museum is a must)

Three days is about right to leisurely enjoy Limoges, which is very accessible as a pedestrian to the central area. My only comment if planning a stay would be to note that the majority of museums are closed both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Superb reception staff. Our train came in an hour earlier than the reception opened and the guys there let us in an hour earlier than they needed to.
Also they printed out our boarding passes and sorted us an airport taxi.
I'd highly recommended this place for the staff alone.
The location of the hotel is great for the train station and the downtown limoges area.
The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and the aircon works really well.
We'd definitely stay here again
Excellent selection for breakfast noting the priced paid. Great value for money and super yummy pastries. Overall, exceptional friendly service, very professional with appropriate friendliness. Seriously great value for money for the room noting the convenient location to the train station, city centre and awesome food. Had a restful peaceful sleep and comfortable bed, and very practicable bathroom/shower.
Very nice space, offering 2 beds separated in distinct areas.
Small kitchen space with all the necessary available.
Well located, parking is covered and we left the car there past the checkout time (with the owners agreement) to easily stroll in Limoges.
Breakfast served on the terrace when weather allows, or brought to your room (that was our case as it was a rainy day).
Friendly and helpful staff.
I loved the location it was very central to the main town center, everything was in walking distance for me. I liked my view it showed charm of France. I think my room was an adequate size as I was on my own, at first i thought it abit small but it was actually a good size for one individual. I loved the decor of the room, the colour of the walls and the little details and the height of the ceilings.
we came here as a team after being treated terribly by the “hotel de Paris” next door. This place saved our work trip from becoming a complete disaster! Hotel was clean, modern, efficient check in and check out process. would definitely stay here again if we need to come back to Limoges!
Friendly staff, breakfast ok. Room simple but as expected for a budget hotel. Easy parking and close proximity to motorway makes it a good choice for a stopover driving back from S of France, as we were. Good to get a fair priced small pizza there.
Room was large & comfy. Helpful staff. Good location near centre of Limoges. Check in staff were really helpful & recommended a local restaurant where we got a free Aperitif as we were hotel guests. Good breakfast.
This is a motel style hotel about 200 yards from the airport. We used the cafe and bar at the airport and had a leisurely evening on the balcony.Ideal if you have an early flight. Very reasonably priced hotel.
it was very close to Limoges but felt off the beaten path. it was so comfortable and clean. but what made it exceptional was the history of the property and the wonderful hospitality of the host.
Friendly staff. Great service in the restaurant with excellent attention given to my husband's nut and seafood allergies ( in contrast to our experience in other French hotels).
Very clean, easy to find, hotel. Car parking either underground or public car park opposite. The provided breakfast was good. Easy walking distance of town centre. Good value.
Excellent location. Very reasonable price. Very functional hotel with very good breakfast options. Nicolas (??) was extremely helpful and exceeded my expectations! Thanks!
Good Hotel in city centre - great staff, handy location, good underground car park, dog friendly - the city centre is a bit of a mess with lots of building work underway
