Perfect place to explore La Rochfoucauld, on a stop over or for a longer stay. The host was really hospitable and the off street parking really handy. We would thoroughly recommend this for a a couple.

Host Grégoire-so nice and friendly. Lovely family with lots of animals, cat, chickens and rabbit!! He was so accommodating to us. When we arrived he was out and so we went to the pub for 1 drink. He knew we were travelling on small motorbikes and he also got a few calls from the neighbours as they were a bit unusual. Before we got back to check in, he had moved items around in his locked garage and allowed us to park the motorbikes in there.
House-beautiful old house that has been renovated in the village. Only a small walk to the main st, with shops, pubs, lovely Italian restaurant and multiple other restaurants and of course the beautiful castle.
Room-our room had a view of the castle and the garden, very nice indeed. Big bedroom with a kitchen area off that and then a big shower room after. Kitchen area had everything you would need if you wanted to stay a few days and eat in the room.
Breakfast-more than enough food, we struggled to finish. Beautiful bread, croissant, etc. but the jams were delicious and all home made (his mom, neighbour and his own) and also homemade apple juice!!

The hosts were charming / polite and extremely helpful from when we arrived until we left. The condition and quality of the Gite was exceptional and the breakfast better than most 5 star hotels.
