The location is on top of the mountain of La Clusaz, which offers access to beautiful starry sky at night, awesome mountain views, and herds of cows and sheep or goats. We are nature lovers and nature artists, so we spent our time hiking on the mountain trails, strolling around the lake, and interacting with those cows and sheep, listening to the symphony played by the cow and sheep bells, while closely observing and getting inspired by the beauty of nature. Aside from the mountain top location, the host offered transport to the village, where we enjoyed the hospitality of those friendly shop and restaurant owners. Though we visited off the ski season, the much fewer crowds gave us a chance to freely visit whatever corner we loved and felt like embracing the entire ski resort by me and my husband only, especially when we bathed in the outdoor jacuzzi, seeing the mountain and the sky, feeling warm in our body but actually surrounded in cool air. The only suggestion we have is that gourmet catering or dining service can complement it to the fullest extent. However, if you like to enjoy a family getaway, the suite we stayed in offers all the appliances for family activities, where you can cook and do the laundry. Besides, the bed and the couch are very cozy and the interior comes in great taste.

La Clusaz is a traditional ski resort with plenty of accommodation and places to eat (although it was often necessary to book ahead in the evening)
The town is at a low level and so the runs back to the resort were patchy at this time of year. There was artificial snow in much of the resort up to around 1800m.

La Clusaz is a quaint, picturesque French mountain village close to Geneva with several ski lifts and plenty of ski runs. Driving in La Clusaz can get busy during the morning and around 4pm when skiers are leaving the area. Le Freka is a lovely french restaurant serving the traditional favourites such as Raclette and Fondue etc. When we visit again we would avoid the usual change over days (Saturday) as the roads were particulary All in all a great place to ski for all levels.

Pretty village with good shopping, choice of restaurants (...
Pretty village with good shopping, choice of restaurants (both on and off the mountain) and good skiing. Easily accessible up a fairly straight road out of Annecy. Not too busy (except weekends when locals descend). Ski area is good for intermediates although connections between the main ski areas are not great (long blues which are really green and often need some poling).
Easy drive from the UK once you've hit Calais.
Avoid arriving on a Saturday between 16:00 and 19:00

La Clusaz is a beautiful town with fantastic skiing, lots of nice little shops and especially sports outlets. There are many restaurants though these do get booked up long in advance so do some research and email for a booking. The snow was not great this year in March, but that can hardly be held against the town! I suppose if it were at a higher altitude, the snow last longer, but I guess we were just a bit unlucky!

Big resort in my opinion, loads of places to eat, though you need to book, well we did (didn't!!!) as it was half term. V small queues for the ski lifts which was great. Love this resort, lots of trees, v pretty, great off piste, good mix of levels of runs. I'll be back.

Loved La Clusaz.
Loved La Clusaz. We have been to a number of places in France, Austria and Italy for winter sports but this was my favourite.
Really nice mix of runs though I suspect the speed demons and high technical challenge skiers / boarders may want to look elsewhere.
The blues were amazing, the reds challenging and the only run we found for boarder to avoid at all costs (flat as a pancake) was La Motte down to the Balme area. Take the bus instead if you are on a board, it is worth it.
On mountain food was great, town has a great mix of restaurants that open early letting you have kids with you for dinner.
Truly fabulous place that I thoroughly recommend.
The room felt like a slightly better version of a motor-way cheap hotel. Overall the stay was a real let down, and horribly overpriced (we paid more then 400 euros) for a new year eve one night reservation. In addition, there was no parking available at or close to the hotel. Reception offered a discount coupon for a nearby parking station, but this was not given to us despite it being mentioned at check in - reason given “we don’t make then available to all guests”. Sadly, can’t recommend to future guests.
Really cosy & clean, with good quality furnishings & stylish decor throughout. All staff were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is ski-in/ski-out (but perhaps not for beginners, the blue that runs past the hotel can get a bit dicy towards the end of the day). The restaurant is also very nice, serving traditional Savoyard dishes & some chef's specials.
A lovely hotel, elevated by the location, brilliant restaurant, easy parking, spa and most of all the staff. Selma in particular was absolutely superb. She looked after us (especially my daughter) from the second we arrived until the second we left. Nothing seemed too much trouble and she went out of her way to make our trip special. Thank you again.
The room was very nice , mountain style , well decorated, and the bathroom was big . The hotel location is perfect, in the center of la clusaz. Easy to walk anywhere . There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast offered a lot of options and was good quality. Definitely etelly s good place to return to !
Very big and Nice rooms with mountain views
Good location in the village next to restaurants etc .. even if you have to carry your skis a little long from the ski room to the slopes (but it’s the case everywhere in la Clusaz)
Spa is nice too
Staff is very friendly and helpful
Hotel was lovely, room comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really good, unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed but there were plenty of options close by in town. Staff friendly and plenty of secure storage for our bikes.
Really beautiful property, within good distance to get to la clusaz main centre with just a short bus ride. The hosts were excellent, and very kind and made us feel very welcome.
The apartment is quite large and it is possible to start skiing from a very short distance. The Concierge was friendly and helped us with tips about La Clusaz and the area.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Room a bit small but great view, great location.
