We were really annoyed. We we asked to pay a €300 deposit. My card, to pay this, was refused? I spent nearly 1 hour arguing at the doorstep with the host. I even offered my watch as a deposit.

Good location with easy access to and from main routes. Shops and restaurants close by. (I can recommend the nearby Hotel Restaurant Les Relais for a good meal at excellent price) The room was clean and comfortable. I had a very good night's sleep. Issoudun is a nice place to visit - old interesting buildings. Good choice at breakfast. Would use again if in the area.
