The location was on the edge of the ski area. A short walk with the skis and you are on the ski slope.

Easily accessible from Nice, a very quite area in the south Alps , offering all necessary sport facilities and a good stating point to do many challenging walks in the Mercantour. The restaurant le vieux chalet is recommended.

Isola 2000 is a fantastic place to go to for skiing and snow...
Isola 2000 is a fantastic place to go to for skiing and snow-boarding. There are many restaurants, pubs and shops available and the people are so friendly and helpful.
We were there for almost 2 weeks and the locals were giving us free coffees after our lunches. They repaired my Ski-boots for free. They even gave us a 20% discount (without asking) for renting my sister's Ski-boots and Skis.
The pistes are well maintained and the facilities excellent (the T-bars, the Chair-lifts and the Bubble lifts). The roads are kept snow-free as well.
The only thing I'd like to be negative about is that I find the Ski-pass a bit expensive. It's €35 for the day, or €29 for half a day skiing.
Self catering accommodation was in excellent location. Pick up of keys was easy despite our late arrival. Luxury chalet with three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lovely views over the Isola2000 valley. Plenty of parking spaces.
