This is a very big apartment in the very centre of attractive Bessines sur Gartemps. There's a clear effort to please, it's nicely furnished with some high spec stuff, and it all feels very new. The bar is across the square and on Wednesday (I'm not promising every week!) there was a pizza wagon in the square as well. Street parking was no problem.

Fascinating location and building. Wonderful staff. Some building work still progressing. Food excellent. Lithuanian family who own and run it, are excellent. Husband is the first rate chef. Go and visit !
The village is very quiet. A lot of the homes are holiday homes so there was no one about. There is a bread machine and a small shop, but nothing else. 4 weeks was too long there. There is nothing within easy reach and there were only things to do/visit by travelling quite a long way in the car.
