A lovely little town, effectively part of Chateau Thierry...
A lovely little town, effectively part of Chateau Thierry where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, historical stuff (castle and WW1 monument).
Access to several Champagne caves - one is really based around a cave, amazing!
Safe to walk, there appear to be plenty of buses, but given the heat some sites (the US WW1 memorial) need a car for most people to get there

I've stayed here at least twice now.
I've stayed here at least twice now. Friendly staff, accommodating. Adequate facilities. Breakfast is typical French, although they do now include boil-your-own eggs. €6 beer at the bar seemed a little expensive.

The location near Chateau Thierry is amazing, and the riverside walk along the Marne from the property is just right.
The restaurant staff for dinner were brilliant, and the quality of the food and wine was very high attracting locals and tourists.
The room was ok in terms of size and bathroom, the lack of a/c and shutters was not great given the price and time of year (June)
Hotel kindly stored wine we bought on our travels in a cool place (this was vital!)
Staff were friendly and able to communicate in English as well as French. It's conveniently located only a few minutes drive into the centre of Chateau Thierry, and there is free parking.
The hotel decor is quite funky and they had posters around encouraging environmentally friendliness and also about being healthy. The room was clean and bright, as was the bathroom. I thought the facilities for the price were really fantastic.
Breakfast was nice, good bed, had double room (two rooms next to each other connected with ‘hidden’ door). which was nice with small kids. Outdoor area was pleasant for breakfast. Charging station for electric car worked, although confusing because it does not belong to the hotel and is Tesla but has one charger for all electric. Restaurant, who owns it, staff helped well.
The staff is first class! Both Georges (mgr) and Laura went above & beyond in helping me with upcoming reservations.
There is a pharmacy only 50 yards away, and an Aldi's almost as close. Covid tests, smoked salmon, chips, and wine; viva la France!
Most important is the hotel is well-located to tour the Marine Memorial at Belleau Wood; the reason for my visit.
We had a fabulous time in this gorgeous part of the Champagne region. This Ibis hotel is excellent value with fantastic, friendly staff. Breakfast is wonderful with lovely outdoor option. Location offers other dining facilities or fast food nearby and is only couple of minutes drive from the beautiful town with a lovely river walk adjacent. Highly recommended!
We absolutely agree with the positive things others have said about this hotel. The receptionist was friendly and he gave us clear directions when we arrived. Our room might be small, but it's got everything you need for a comfy night's stay. Plus, the hotel is in a great spot close to the city center, and parking was easy to find.
Have travelled and stayed in several hotels during the last 10 days. This Budget hotel exceeded many 3 Stars hotels in every way.Attractive decor.very helpful staff with customers.excellent breakfast.quiet Lane behind to walk our dogs
Super Pizzeria next door. We'll done Chateau Thierry!
The staff were all friendly and accommodating to my family and I, from the front desk to the staff throughout the hotel. We have two active children and the hotel was a great and affordable spot to stay at, because we were visiting the various historical monuments in the area.
Lovely chateau! Don’t expect a pristine new hotel- think ‘shabby chic’ in a good way! That having been said, the bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom utterly contemporary. We ate in the restaurant and it was fabulous- great wines and champagne at very reasonable prices.
The hotel appeared to be recently renovated. It was basic but clean, quiet and comfortable and perfect for our purposes. Receptionists were friendly and helpful and the breakfast, though standard for these types of hotels, was quite OK.
A little more for your money than other Ibis Budget hotels.. small room to be expected but it was stylish and very clean. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great :)
