The most beautiful place to have a Holiday in. Lovely views. A meal last minute prepared for us. A very flexible and accommodating host.

Hotel is situated close to the town center, was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Hospitality was impeccable. It was all that we needed for a short stay.

Christine the owner was simply the best, truly passionate about serving her guests, explaining in great detail every aspect if the breakfast.
Also advising on places to visit and the best times to visit.
Bedroom were immaculately cleaned thanks to a lovely lady sorry I did not get her name.
I should like to mention we were touring france in a classic Austin Healey and are quiet fussy about secure parking this hotel being a little away from the centre offered us complete peace of mind.
Also a great large swimming pool so perfect after a long day driving.
Highly recommend.

Domme was a beautiful town.
Domme was a beautiful town. Out of season there is little open but you can see what a vibrant town it would be once the tourists arrive. In the few shops that were open everyone was very friendly and gave us tips of what to see and where to visit. There was an amazing book shop that was open. Even out of season it is a lovely town to wander around with one or two bars open for a coffee etc.

We have spent two hours in this village.
We have spent two hours in this village. We walked through a few streets, enjoyed the panoramic view over the river, visited the old Romanesque church, checked an antiquarian book shop (where our kids bought some English books), and stopped for pancakes in Gourmandises Café (with nice personnel and tasty food). We liked the atmosphere, which felt simultaneously historic and relaxed. One feels like in a fairy tale in this village. Fortunately, there were not many tourists at the end of October (despite the fall school vacations in France). In particular, one could easily park their car in the village without any difficulty. Then we continued our journey to the Marqueyssac gardens...

Domme was a wonderful city - close to sites, but quieter than many other popular cities in the area. We found wonderful restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. The view from the esplanade is amazing!

Charming midieval town, built on a STEEP hill.
Charming midieval town, built on a STEEP hill. Wonderful restaurants are nearby, especially if you have car. Domme's market and nearby Sarlat's are a fun source of souvenirs. We found driving to sites (ancient caves, other interesting towns) to be stressful. Many were nearly an hour away through narrow, winding, mountain roads that went through mostly agricultural areas and tiny towns that seemed closed up.
The breakfast was adequate. If you are expecting a full English breakfast, you will be disappointed. This is a French breakfast and an excellent one . . . but different. Enjoy it for what it is. Honestly, the location can't be beat. You are near Domme and Sarlat-la-Caneda, the Dordogne River and several of the French Plus Beaux Villages but at night it is peaceful and away from all the tourist mania of the area. Very restful. The host and hostess were delightful and very helpful.
We loved everything about the property, it was home away from home . The room was perfect , large comfortable space and beautiful decor . Les Hauts de Domme is in a great location but the best part of our stay were the hosts. Jean Michel and John Luc were very helpful, Jean Michel helped us so much with sites to see and restaurants in the area. The breakfast is great and the pool is a added bonus. We would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation.
This is a unique property. It is more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel. That is, the atmosphere is informal, and you have the opportunity to interact with your hosts and the other guests. Our room was extremely comfortable, including a marvelous bed. There are many places to sit from which to enjoy beauty of the natural surroundings. Our host Jane cooked an exquisite meal for us on one of the evenings of our stay.
We could not have been more pleased. The place was convient to everything (not only in the small town of Domme, but the town is near everthing). The breakfast was wonderful and well appointed. Jean Michel was born to be a gracious host (full of information, help and cheer). Our room had a fabulous view of the valley. I would reccomed this place to anyone wanting a memorable and romantic visit to the Dordogne valley
The hotel is right n the center of a picturesque village, it was difficult finding parking during the day but by 6 pm plenty of side streets.
The room was a little dated but clean, bathroom with shower, small tv high on the wall.
For the price very good value for money, I would use it again,
Just 20 minutes from sarlat and some beautiful villages nearby which are a must to visit.
Maison Maleville is a great base to explore the rest of Dordogne. Just being in Domme is the right decision but having a host like Bertrand who is invested in making sure you have a great stay, makes it even better. Get dinner at L'Esplannade with nice views and awesome food. There is a nice market 200 feet away on Thursdays which has local foie gras, cheese and much more.
The location overlooking the valley is what makes this place special. You can park the car nearby in a public car park and while you're there easy to walk to all that you can see in Domme. Perfect for a one-night stay. The bedrooms had lovely views and very spacious with the bonus of a small terrace. Request these on booking. The staff were nice.
Absolutely fabulous! Gorgeous house decorated by the host! We had a large room with everything we needed. Fantastic view on the medieval town of Domme, very quiet place, exceptional breakfast cooked by the host (she even baked a cake for us, oh my god!!). We really loved our stay at Chambre de Madel and we miss the hosts so much already…
We had an absolutely marvelous time in Domme at 1 Logis. What a spectacular getaway within the walled city of Domme. Our accommodations could not have more lovely, our room spectacular, the views and gardens amazing, the breakfasts sumptuous and our hosts Francois and Helene were wonderful in every way.
We really appreciated the timely and helpful communication with the hosts. The house and everything in it were of a high standard and very stylish. Domme is a beautiful village; our stay felt grand and authentically french. This was our third visit to Dordogne; we are always impressed by this region.
The owners were extremely accommodating and allowed us to set our own hours as to when breakfast was available. The room was private with its own terrace from which the town of Domme can be seen on top of a hill. The landscaping around the property is very lush and gorgeous in the springtime.
Nicole and Jean-Pierre made sure we were well taken care of. It is a beautiful property with a fabulous view over Domme. They gave us excellent suggestions for dinner as well as places to visit in the area. And Nicole makes an incredible and healthy breakfast.
A charming house in the heart of Domme, our room was fantastic, decorated with style and with brand new bathroom. The owners are really caring, polite and helpful, the breakfast is an experience with home-made bread, jam and cake…
Totally recommend the place
The location was perfect! It is a beautiful old home decorated nicely. It was spacious with everything you need. Contact with the property is easy and efficient. It is our first time in France and made for a perfect impression and start.
Everything! After 20+ years of renting for holidays in the Dordogne….. this was the absolute best property yet. We will definitely return. The house, the views, the pool, the two minute walk into Domme. Amazing.
The amount of space, bathrooms and kitchen were perfectly adequate for our 5 night stay. Parking was easy. Restaurants and grocery we're within walking distance. Our hosts were lovely.
Great little gite with everything you need. Lovely owners who had the fire down when we arrived late on a cold night. Perfect location and on a quiet street in domme.
Fabulous hosts, wonderful large room in a historic building in the heart of the village. Couldn't be better for a visit to Domme. Wished we could have stayed longer.
