We visited Annecy during the "Retour des Alpages," and our stay at this lovely hotel was perfect! The location was wonderful - tucked away near a quiet scenic canal, yet just steps away from the main historic area, shops and restaurants. The location was amazing and our views from our 2nd floor room were breathtaking. The rooms are small and simple, but had everything we needed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helped us navigate parking (to get to the hotel parking spots you have to call through at the chateau road block) and some train reservations. While the hill to the hotel is steep, the views and charm from the hotel's spot at the top is well worth the effort. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't require accessibility accommodations.
