I think it's okay-ish based on the costs. The staff were very helpful.
The hotel is okay for a night's stay. But it's a budget hotel, not that I had high hopes. We had a good night's sleep and that was good enough for us.
There's a restaurant next to the hotel, but I would recommend to go to the Chinese restaurant nearby (around 3KM). That was excellent !!

Just cross the road and you are into the old town. Spacious and well equipped apartment high in tower block with amazing views. Lift worked well.
Parking in outside carpark opposite using card in the apartment. As we arrived Saturday evening and the parking is free on Sunday it wasn't worth the both collecting the card and returning it after getting car out of car park.

Nice town.
Nice town. We walked through the town on a guided tour presented the biennale of street art.
We loved the guided visit of the Monastère de Brou. And of course, lunch Chez la Jeanne was great! Dinner ( poulet de Bresse, cuisse de grenouilles) at l’auberge Bressane right across from the Monastère de Brou were fantastic.
Sunday lunch at Brasserie du theatre. Dinner at Le Beau Marché.
And a lot of walking … Great weekend.

Not much is going on in this small city.
Not much is going on in this small city. Also very hard to circulate downtown, not to mention a dire need of parking near businesses. It has a beautiful monastery worth visiting. It also has a diverse population of workers.

Abbaye de/Abbey of Brou (monastère royal de/royal monastery of Brou) is beautiful and just 1 km walking from the town center. It is one of only 80 locations granted the title of National Monuments/Monuments Nationaux and the burial side of Marguerite d’Autriche/Marguerite of Asutria (Habsburg) and her husband Philibert le Beau/Philippe the Handsome. Both are important figures in European history. Their tombs are magnificent.
The town itself is pleasant but without major points of interest. The region is nice to visit and perfect for a longer holiday.

The best place to visit is the Royal Monastery of Brou (but be aware that it closes between 12-2pm. Just 10-15 mins walk from centre of town. Really interesting historically with a wonderful art display as well.

While not really a tourist destination, when one becomes more familiar with Bourg, the village is indeed great for shopping. Many tasteful clothing/shoe shops are enclosed in and surrounded by a village which has great charm potential (lovely old architecture much of it in need of renovation and repair). Over several decades of dining at our favorite Georg Blanc restaurant, we've had the pleasure of discovering the rest of this town.

The hotel is pet-friendly. The room was very clean and well decorated, bed was comfortable, bathroom spotless and modern. There is a pretty enclosed garden leading on to the restaurant, with some open air dining. The staff were welcoming and very helpful in trying to locate a local vet after we missed the appointment we made. The hotel is located on a main road into Bourg en Bresse and is easy to find. There's a small park area down the road for the dog
Bad experience , we were expecting we will have a room to stay at night after a very long tiring driving since the booking was confirmed but to our surprise upon arrival we do not have any reservation at all , so in the end we must to find a hotel to book to stay for a night in a cold weather , been using booking.com for a long time and its my first bad experience
An ideal hotel to break a long journey. Check-in is prompt and easy and the rooms are adequately comfortable with all the facilities necessary for a single overnight stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is enough to get you back on your way the next day. Private parking directly before the hotel and access to the main road network is very good.
Absolutely fantastic receptionist, she very clearly described the things in the hotel and even provided kettle because we felt sick and wanted to make tea by ourselves. Room was quiet as requested, comfortable parking.
I like the thing that it's small business run hotel - much much better service and quality in every aspects. Great value for money.
The apartment was bright, roomy and very cosy (we visited in February so grateful of this). The host had provided a helpful folder of guides and recommendations. There were even welcome chocolates! The value for money was fantastic. I’d highly recommend Le Select de Brou should you be staying in Bourg.
Interior of hotel is nice and modernized (exterior is a bit drab) and it is clean and comfy and very nice shampoo (nuxe). Plenty of parking on site so good for coming by car and the breakfast was very good with a good selection of stuff. Staff were friendly the check out process was quick.
An excellent hotel with a great restaurant, in the center of Bourg-en-Bresse - Great for a stopover or a short visit to the area. The hotel has recently been remodeled and provides a very comfortable stay set in an old and stylish building right downtown.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Perfectly located for a stop on the way to the Alps. Only 2 hours from Chamonix or Morzine.
The town itself has a superb cathedral and 5 good restaurants 20 mins or 4 mins drive from the hotel.
The location is excellent for exploring the old town and there s even a good parking lot right in front of the hotel. And it’s also a silent spot.
Food at the restaurant is good, but not exceptional.
It is an Ibis and it does what it says on the tin. The breakfast was good and the scrambled eggs were hot, something that rarely happens in any hotel so 10 points for that.
Clean and tidy. Everything you need and in an excellent location. We have used this hotel before and will again. Local area has restaurants so is ideal.
