The Hosts were incredible and quite helpful with Local amenities. Actually got me a Doctors visit for the pain I had from getting Dental work done. Went over and beyond what's expected from B & B hosts. Will definitely stay again when we're in the area. Lovely quiet spot in the Country.

Centrally located right on market square. Unfortunately we could not make use of that as it was a Monday and France pretty much closes on a Monday. Accommodation was perfectly adequate for a short stay and hostess was wonderfully welcoming and went out of her way to greet us and explain things.

Suzi and Jon(and Jupe the dog) runa fantastic b&b. They are so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the top bedroom cottage, which lacks for nothing . It is about twenty steps from the main house so you have privacy but great facilities on the doorstep. The pool and gardens are great for just chilling. Jon serves a great cold beer and wine. Suzi will cook you a lovely three course meal in the evening and breakfast if you desire. They are great hosts and their house is set in a quiet hamlet just outside town which has more than enough shops, cafes etc. Jupe will keep you entertained all day. The chickens, goat (Pickle) and play barn will keep you entertained for however long you stay. Give them a go you won't be disappointed.
Le Vieux Renard is a recently renovated country house in Vieux-Ruffec, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden.

Where to begin... a beautiful, romantic, rural and quiet spot. We're lucky to find this place. The bedroom and bathroom are great and nicely (a little boutique) decorated. The bed is good! (also for someone with back problems). You have direct acces to your own private big part of the garden where you can have a very good breakfast in the sun. There is a big covered veranda where you can sit outside hiding from the rain (which we hadden't) or sun. The garden has multiple sit/bed option to enjoy the views and sun. And the the hosts, Lisa and Paul. They were gave us a very warm welcome. Always in for a chat and for some good good tips for cycling/hiking routes and places for dinner. They have 3 beautiful dogs, which were kept from the guest part, but they were lovely. We'll definately return. It's a perfect place for a layover or a longer stay.

Good modern units, bathroom worked well, but no shower gel. Comfortable sofa bed, but too heavy for me to open, owner did that, or close up at end of stay.

Lovely room in a very pretty town. Our hostess gave great advice about where to have dinner and provided us with a good breakfast.
Easy access to Ruffec which is a large town. Picked up stuff from McDonalds a few times as it was convenient. Alysson gave us the names of a few restaurants which were still open through Covid. Oh, and I forgot to mention that our warm welcome to the B&B included a lovely bottle of wine and some beer chilling in the fridge, which was a very welcome surprise. The area has many farmer's markets and the towns of Verteuil-sur-Charente and Charroux offer visitors a great day out.
