I stayed 2 nights in the gîte which is located up on the mountain, accessible via a small road. The gîte itself is in an old stonehouse which is very cozy. In fact, it is not an entire house but an apartment on the top floor of the owners house, with a separate entrance (this can be a bit confusing as the pictures suggest an entire house). The gîte consists of a modern kitchen with plety of appliances, a bathroom with walk-in shower and 2 bedrooms. There is not a living room or a seating area apart from the kitchen stools. Outside the house is a little seating area with splendid views on the mountains as well as a private parking space. The owner is super sweet: even though i arrived late, she directed me patiently to the house and even had some food in the cupboard. And the complimentary tea and coffee were also really great to start the day with.
The lunch and dinner were fabulous and very delicious, large portions. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is quiet and quaint. They were able to store our luggage while we hiked. We had a baby with us in a crib in the room and everything fit perfectly, lots of space.
We had a nice time in Belvedere. Too bad we were only there for one day. Quentin is a great host. We didn’t meet live, but he provided great instructions and made a welcome. The accommodation is pleasantly decorated, the kitchen is very well equipped.
Beautiful village and a comfortable house with all the necessary facilities. We planned our daily hikes from the village of Belvedere and there are lots of nice hikes around. The owner was very helpful and responsive.
