We were warmly greeted by the owner on arrival. Our accommodation was very comfortable and a cleaner came in everyday with fresh towels. It was roomy and the air conditioning was good. Algajola was an unspoilt little town with plenty of places to eat and a lovely beach. There was a railway station nearby for trains to Calvi and L'ile rousse. On the two occasions that we dined in the hotel, the food was excellent.
Located just on the beach in Algajola, L’Escale Plage is just a 3-minute drive from the train station. It offers rooms with a private, shaded terrace on the beach.
Very nice! We loved it! Too bad there’s so no wifi :/

Lovely beach, the resort has plenty of bars, restaurants, hotels and self catering, plus a few useful shops including a SPAR supermarket and independent bakery. It is a great base to explore the coastal region from Calvi to St Florent, or into the mountains up to Corte.

Quaint walled village with lots of cafes restaurants.
Quaint walled village with lots of cafes restaurants. One end of the village was the old town with narrow streets while the north end had the long beach and was a little more commercial, but not too commercial. Idyllic cove with turquoise sea lapping at the rocks in front of period hotels. We ate at 5 different establishments all produced quality food if a little on the expensive side. At least another 10 places we didn't eat at but they looked just as good. We hired a car and there was surprisingly plenty of parking, may not be the same in the height of the season. Olde worlde train station gave access to rest of the island if required. Overall Fantastic!

Highly recommend Algajola if you want a resort that is not too small but not overly large. We had the best meals in all of Corsica....excellent in fact.
Lovely sandy beach with some water sports...and so many places to visit in the car
Orfea Casa turned out to be a small family-run hotel. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding, and so was the atmosphere (lovely interior design of the hotel; home-made breakfast with amazing local food items made freshly by one of the family members; etc). The facilities are basic, but everything was perfectly clean & comfortable and we enjoyed every minute at the hotel -- way above expectations given the very reasonable price, will come again!
The location is great, the food in the restaurant is amazing and the staff is very welcoming. They were very nice to us and made it possible to arrive a day early when the ferry messed up our original plans. Algajola itself is a nice little place from which one can easily travel by train or car. The parking situation is easy and for free. There is an elevator for easy access.
Very nice small hotel with absolutely amazing location. We got a room with ocean view, highly recommend. The rooms are small, but sufficient. Nice long beach within like 2min walking distance. Many options for groceries and restaurants around the hotel. Very good breakfast at the hotel in the morning. Really exceeded our expectations.
Excellent hotel in nice little town with good large beach. The room had conditioning, was large, the beds were excellent, the bathroom modern. It had a small frigo as well. The breakfast was very good and self-served in nice garden in front of the hotel, the hosts very friendly.
The location is fantastic - practically on the beach and a short distance to some lovely shops and restaurants. Also well positioned to explore other parts of Corsica.
