I have been in the Scandic Helsinki Airport few times before and it has always been good. Staff is professional and friendly. Rooms are tidy, well equipped and quiet. The breakfast is great and yesterday the chef was very friendly and helpful. Will be there again.
in a town which has had no hotels for a few months, this newly refurbished hotel is very important. That it is un staffed and devoid of any character is irrelevant! The new rooms are okay but pretty sparse and in a twin room you can see they’ve been saving money by only putting one chair! It would be nice if the corridors were cleaned and the lifts as well. It’s pretty average but well received because it’s necessary!
The check-in was very simple and straight-forward. The hotel overall is very clean and located right next to the central train station. Breakfast was nothing less than delicious. Communication with the staff was very quick via email.
