We were made very welcome and the chalet conformed to the description. No bad surprises. The chalet was spacious, heated before our arrival and the fireplace allowed us to spend good times inside even though it was -25 outside. The sauna in the chalet was a real plus too.
Very close to the lake, the snowshoe or Nordic ski trails, it is a perfect location which gives the feeling of being in the heart of nature while being in the immediate vicinity of a clear traffic route, which is not negligible in extreme cold.
I think we will come back if the opportunity arises.

Hekki and Susanna were great hosts! Super friendly with a wry sense of humour. The bnb is quintessential Finnish countryside with great views of the lake, an awesome firewood sauna and bbq facilities! My daughter absolutely loved the ducks and chickens roaming freely around the bnb as well as the delicious banana pancakes!! It is not sparkling clean in the rooms but understandable given that they are a little short staffed.

The sauna is fantastic (I’m Finnish so I know what I’m talking about), and you can dip into the lake between your bouts of löyly.
The owner has been very thoughtful and thorough with the chalets. Blockout blinds and exceptional ventilation even when the door is closed to ensure no mosquitoes come in are guaranteed to give you a great night’s sleep.
The breakfast was truly exceptional, you’ll get to taste a variety of home cooked Finnish foods. Everything had a lot of taste and you can tell that the produce is coming from the surrounding areas.
