Thank you so much for everything, the greatest breakfast, the greatest view and it's really the best for the price! They have a nice cafeteria/bar as well.
Set in the historical Galician city of Tui, a border town with Portugal, this stunning hotel is housed in a majestic old building, surrounded by a peaceful, natural environment.

Located well near the River Minho, our stay at the Parador de Tui was comfortable and convenient. The staff were most accomodating. The expresso coffee is the best ivevevet tasted in Spain in over 20 years. Breakfast is convenient but limited in selection. The dining room is not large so breakfast is split into early and later sittings. If you’re an early riser and wish to make an early get away it’s best to book an early breakfast in advance.

Lively flat with plenty of space and great washing and drying facilities after a couple of wet days on the Camino.

Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality.

Very historic old town.
Very historic old town. It used to be the capital of Galicia. Beautiful cathedral. Location next to Mindo river makes it very special as well. Strolling along the river, with Tui lingering above was a delight.

Tui was bigger than I expected.
Tui was bigger than I expected. It is a very interesting town close to the Portuguese border and has many historical buildings. There are lots of bars to choose from - El Pilar being our favourite. The old cathedral is worth a visit to view the architecture and there are some lovely walks along the riverside.

Restaurant/cafes near Albergue Pallanes were not open for food in the evening when local referrals were given but a nearby supermarket was well stocked. The kitchen at the Albergue provided all that was required for meal preparation. Only stayed one night. At the end of a days travel/walking Tui restaurants were a step too far away.
Our stay at Casa de Barca was amazing! We were walking the Camino and it is right on the path. Juana is the best host ever! She even picked us up at the bus station. She has thought of everything you might need. It was our first stop and the only negative was that she set the bar too high and the subsequent stops just didn't quite compare. Wish we could have stayed longer! She also showed us how to walk to Valenca (a beautiful walk!) which we would have missed and it was a highlight. Don't hesitate to stay here!!
I LOVED my little room! It was just like the one in the picture, with a door opening to the street. I stayed in hotels on my Camino for Covid safety reasons and this room was definitely one of my most favorites. Bed was comfortable and I spent time gazing at the moon from it. The location could not be beat! The man who was working the desk was also very kind.
It's a real oasis providing a relaxing break for the traveller. The staff go above and beyond and realising I wasn't well (I've since ended up in hospital on my early return home, with heart failure)they even gave me a lift into Tui and later came to rescue me from a sudden downpour when I had gone to look at a local place of interest. Thank you all so much.
The location in Tui was perfect. Close to Cathedral but on a quiet street. The apartment was spacious and beautiful. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated the washing machine. Lino was the perfect host and was very responsive. Thank you for creating the perfect respite on the Camino!
Lovely hotel centrally located and right on the Camino. Historic building very well maintained and filled with interesting furniture and decor. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was generous. I would absolutely stay here again.
This is a 700 year old property with a fascinating history. it is still owned by a family who bought it many years ago and who have now converted it into an Albergue. It was a place of refuge for a day while exploring Tui.
The hotel was lovely, really really comfortable and homely. Perfect for a stopover on the camino. The outside terrace was also great and there are plenty of restaurants a short walk away. Breakfast is self-serve.
The personal service by Maria in reception was above and beyond, as I had accidentally left my phone in the taxi and she managed to help locate and get it delivered back to the hotel by the next morning! Superb!!
We stayed at Michael’s apartment in Tui. It’s in a great location, was very clean, well stocked and Michael was very responsive to all our questions. He was also a great help. We highly recommend staying here.
Everything was amazing, the crew was friendly and informative about the attractions nearby, the facilities are wonderful, its a bit out from Tui but it’s on the camino route and it’s worth it
