We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
The Host was amazing, we came in late by train at 10 pm to the city of Ourense and were afraid there was no transport to the property that night, we asked for her help and she immediately introduced a taxi driver to pick us up at Ourense train station which is 100 Km away from Sarria and drove us to the property. We were able to start our Camino journey the next day at 6 am.
The Host is also helpful in detailing how and what to do with luggage transfer, we just followed her instructions and everything worked out very well
A lovely welcome from Monica. It was the start of our long walk and we couldn't have had a better start. Monica was very knowledgeable and obviously had great experience of hosting pilgrims along the way. She made our short stay in Sarria very memorable by her recommendations. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace t the back enjoying the lovely view to the south. We had breakfast with her in the kitchen and it felt like we had made a friend in that very short time.
A very clean hotel that is basic but meets all of your needs on the Camino. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a washer and drying for your clothing. And the location at the centre of the Old Town and on the Camino was very useful. The attached restaurant provides a good breakfast and is nice for sitting outside and having a drink when you arrive.

Property was very clean. Host was super helpful. She gave suggestions on where to eat and offered to call our next hotel to pick up our luggage without cost. We were able to walk comfortably to our next hotel for the start of our Camino without lugging our luggage! Muchas gracias Laura😊
The location is excellent to start El Camino, the room was exactly as the picture in the website, the staff was friendly and very helpful. You can get the passports for the Camino & get your stamp at the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was spacious
Overlooking the Escalinata Maior and close the the Malecon which comes alive at night, a lovely place to stay whether one is in the middle of their Camino, or preparing to set off from Sarria. Friendly host available via whatsapp.
We were given a huge room, a bed a sofa area both with televisions. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The hotel is just across the road from the train station so convenient for us the following morning.
Great location as right beside starting point if doing the Camino. Hotel had tea/coffee facilities and use of kitchen which was great. Really friendly and kind host. Highly recommend
