Beautiful wild part of Galicia. We cooked in mostly but ate at Restaurante Planeta in Espasante which is within walking distance, although hilly, which didn't bother us. Beautiful fresh fish and friendly service.

This beautiful, friendly small Hotel, formerly a schoolhouse has been lovingly restored and fitted out as a small Hotel by the wonderful Alex. The area is of special beauty and has a feeling of safety and security rarely found these days. The breakfast was perfect, It was a continental style using local fresh ingredients. If Alex was not there Raul was there also to make sure all was perfect. We also got great advice in respect of the best locations to photograph in this stunningly beautiful area. I'm already plotting how I can come back to this gem of a country hotel in an old stone and timber schoolhouse. Just 11 rooms, all very comfortable and well-priced. Each room gets a couple of graphic novels or cartoons in Spanish. The breakfast was slightly different each morning. And the location is ideal for visiting beaches and lighthouses in and around Ortigueira in Galicia. We all wanted to stay longer. Car absolutely necessary.
