The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Everything was explained to us in detail and if we needed anything they were happy to help.
The breakfasts offered variety and covered all needs and the Dinner we had was amazing and so good we ate their twice.
They even brought me a little birthday cake too.

An incredible property, beautifully decorated in a very peaceful and secluded area. Great miradors very nearby and we swam in the municipal pool at Sober too.

Restaurant was very good the staff were attentive and helpful. You definitely need a car to tour the area and indeed to reach the hotel which is perched up high overlooking the valley. The views were stunning

The location of the Monastery and the building is wonderful.
The location of the Monastery and the building is wonderful. However, it is showing it's age a bit, and aside from Breakfast - the food at the Parador is pretty bad. We ate at local restaurants (there are several within a 15-20 min drive). The entire hotel and spa staff are excellent, as are the waiters in the restaurant - the maitre d of the restaurant - not so much.

As already indicated by others, this former monastery has been beautifully and carefully rebuilt to this hotel gem. Enjoying comfortable, big rooms and hotel facilities plus walking around in the evening after having had good food and wine at the restaurant at a mystically lighted cloister…this is very special and worth the somewhat higher price. The walk up to the viewpoint Penedos do Castro is strenuous but absolutely recommendable!
This was an amazing place to stay on our honeymoon. Everything was perfect. Absolutely beautiful property and special experience. Huge hotel room with massive windows that opened overlooking the valley. Comfortable beds. Lucious bathroom and bath. Really, really special. Would go back and highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel in spectacular surroundings.
Excellent room - spacious, modern, comfortable.
Spectacular restaurant, needless to say excellent food.
Excellent breakfast.
Lovely signposted walk around the gardens with great views.
Free parking.
Excallent Parador in a beautifully converted old monastery in the mountains. Great location and views from the hotel. Restaurant and cafe both very good. Plenty to see exploring the old monastery building and church, and local walks.
Possibly the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in. The combination of the monastic location, architecture (old and new) and interior design and style was superb.
Based in amazing scenery and such a beautiful adaption from monastery to hotel.
Bedroom was lovely, large, comfortable and great views across the mountains.
It's a very spacious place, A lot to visit in the hotel/monastery, even fullit'zs not crowded. Restaurant has grret menu good pricing and is very good.
