This traditional townhouse hotel is located in the historic heart of Ribadeo, on Galicia’s northern coast. It is 400 metres from the marina, and Las Catedrales Beach is nearby.

Central location and close to great restaurants and coffee shops.
The hosts ( both father and son) could not have been more helpful . We had to leave early on our last morning to catch a bus, and they arranged breakfast to be organised. I am a coeliac, and they had plenty of options for my breakfast. I would 100% recommend this hotel, and I will definitely be back.
Next to Ribadeo's Porcillan Harbour, this restored historic building offers a café-bar and free Wi-Fi. The colourful rooms at this family-run hotel have a balcony, minibar. Each room at Hotel A.G.

Close to harbour, on Camino route. Near restaurants and cable car. Most friendly staff the lady at desk supplied us with maps, lots of info about places to be seen, organized a taxi for us . This stay was a highlight as our room had a big balcony.
Set on the northern coast of Galicia, close to the beach and the banks of the Ribadeo Estuary, the Santa Cruz is a value-for-money option in a lovely, tranquil location.
This Parador Hotel enjoys a picturesque setting overlooking the Eo Estuary in Ribadeo. Experience authentic Galicia with fabulous views from its dining room which serves typical, regional cuisine.
The attention to datail and the very helpful staff
Ribadeo is a small seaside town. Very quiet this time of the year. Easy to walk around but the town itself could be difficult for wheelchair users or people with visual or walking difficulties. Several of the footpaths are quite narrow and the kerbs are up to 30cm in height in some places. However outside the town centre, walkers should not experience any difficulties.
People are friendly and helpful. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and found I could manage Gallego, the local dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. This is just as well as very few people can speak more than a few words of English. I noticed that most of the reviews were from Spanish people.
You can take a local bus or walk on a boardwalk about an hour east to Praia Catedrais (Cathedral Beach), where there are spectacular rock formations where the sea has eroded the coastline. Some parts are inaccessible at high tide and there are clear signs warning that you will be fined at least €6,000 if they have to rescue you!
This time of the year, Ribadeo would be an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday.

The bedding ( pillows) could be better.

The friendliness of the population has to be experienced to believe it. Not a huge town but plenty happening there. Shops and bars abound and a short walk/drive down to the sea front with restaurants to enjoy the array of fish dishes.

My first visit to Northern Spain...
My first visit to Northern Spain... Galicia, and what an absolute gem. I shouldn't really write a review as is it's not full of tourists and I like it that way!!
Amazing, rugged coastline with fantastic walkways, great for walkers but also caravanners are well catered for there... it's a touring sort of place.
Was hard to find breakfast (?) and no lunch before 1pm, nor dinner before 9pm, so plan well!!
Loved it and popped in to some charming nearby towns, no names, find your own unique way....enjoy!
Hired a car from the airport, was very cheap :)

Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities.
Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities. It has an estuary with Sea port and leisure port with waterside walks. Perhaps the main attraction is its proximity to the magnificent 'Playa des Cathedrals' a magnificent beach with numerous rock arches formed by the sea.
Great location on a park with restaurants all along the street (not noisy). The hotel is small, welcoming, and comfortable with a luxurious feel. There were a wide range of breakfast choices, which you ordered the night before. Regarding Ribadeo, we enjoyed walking from the hotel through the pedestrian old town to the river where we walked along a beautiful footpath to the ocean. Truth be told we didn't make it to the end, but a resident showed us the wild boara in the neighboring field.
Very comfortable and well equipped. Sturdily built and cosy despite the wet and windy late-October weather. Can see it would make an ideal overnight stop if driving by car - especially in summer when swimming pool is open. However, we were on foot and public transport so we felt quite isolated as nearest supermarket was in Ribadeo town, 7 miles away.
Very friendly and supportive hosts. I made a mistake with the reservation dates, but it was not an issue and was solved in a minute. English wasn’t it a problem at all. Nice clean big rooms nice bathroom. The property is close to the downtown core but in a very very quiet zone just minutes away from downtown. It’s very underrated on booking.com
Exploring the Northern Spanish coast by SLOW train (Feve), this Hotel is just ideally close to the station. The Hosts were charming and the welcome was both sincere and warm. Walking down into the town for an evening meal, we were entertained by street music and a lot of very excited locals.
Nice property in the center of town. Several restaurants with in a short walk. La Solana Bert the port!
Staff was wonderful, they help track down our luggage that was moved forward. She had taxi driver pick it up return it to the hotel.
Definitely stay there again. Right on the Camino
The reception staff was kind and gracious. I was allowed to check-in early. Having a cafe attached to the hotel was a plus. The breakfast was very affordable and I got a bocadillo to go for the next day. The hotel is on the Camino del Norte route.
The staff was welcoming and advised us to put the car in their parking lot
The view from our room and from the stairs of the river was impressive
The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in spain
Close to the city centre
When I first walked into the room I was thrilled, thinking "YES" this is what every hotel room should look like. It has everything here, great location too. A must if you are on the Camino. The inclusive breakfast is incredible.
Very clean, roomy, fully equipped and comfortable apartment. The checkin process was smooth, courteous and friendly. The checkout process was a breeze. Worthy of a repeat stay when we visit the Ribadeo area. I recommend it.
The hotel owners were very helpful, particularly with organising admission to the Playa de Catedrales.
Nice view from the room balcony.
Breakfast was very tasty.
Ideally located for a walk in to town or to some sights.
Beautiful hotel in a very quiet area! Room had an exceptional view to the river and mountains. Staff was really friendly and good breakfast for reasonable price. Staff went above to please customers.
Right in the main plaza. Ribadeo it's a beautiful town, so it's nice to have it all right outside the door. The beds have their own light, outlets and curtains. Which is nice to find in the camino.
Great location, easy access to all of Ribadeo's many restaurants, a 15-minute walk to the harbor/marina area, very nice staff, many conveniences. The nicest cafe of all of the cities we visited.
Good location. Near town but had good safe parking. Very quiet. Lovely bedrooms. Hotel was full of character and nicely restored. Staff were pleasant when we saw them. Great black out blinds.
Perfect place for the Camino Norte traveler. Right on the Camino . Hoteliers were wonderful people. Room was sufficiently appointed and close to downtown.
