Good place to take a vacation, but… the late night or night...

Good place to take a vacation, but… the late night or night life is kinda dead. This is the 2nd time we come here. For relaxation and resting is the perfect place, not too much young people around that is also a fact maybe why the nightlife is dead, but theres Barcelona pretty close if you want something more for the night. What I would like to see in the future if we will come back some more pubs and fun places to play some pool or darts.. or some card games. Restaurants are everywhere and even if there more then 100 they almost serve the same food, which also is not a complain cause we love the food from here but it would be better to have more variety. Overall we got what we wanted, relaxation, rest and warm sunny weather. It was good fun. I would definetly recommend it for someone who have never been here before!

We really enjoyed our two day stay.

We really enjoyed our two day stay. We walked around each of the areas and visited the castle and church. We thought the castle was an excellent experience - it is huge and very well maintained and excellent value for money. We were half board in our hotel but there are better places to eat out. We had a tasty lunch right by the sea. All staff were friendly smiley and helpful. We loved it.

We totally fell in love with Peñiscola, it has such a lovely feel to it, very friendly, great beaches. We ate in a pizzeria on the sea front, great views. It’s easy to walk to the castle area, where you’ll also find lots of little local shops for your souvenirs, a treasure trove of discovery

The old town is great for spending a few days in - Book one...

The old town is great for spending a few days in - Book one of the top two rooms at Dios Esta Bien B&B as then you have a great place in the old town from which to explore with great food & hosts, as well as being able to get away from the crowds by retreating to your own private terrace which then gives you access to the roof terrace. The hostel does not have a lift, but on the plus side, it avoids walking up and down the hill if you are not staying in the old town. The rest of Peñíscola is a big and well laid out resort - We were fortunate to be there just before Easter when it was quieter, but it does get very busy during the holiday season, so pick your time if only spending a few days here. The food and drinks at the B&B are very good and we can highly recommend the restaurant La Taverneta de Sant Roc just down the same street - their T-bone steak was amazing and they were charming hosts. Personally, the whole resort is a bit too big for us when considering a holiday, but everyone should visit and spend a few days in the old town - it’s got a real buzz and vibe about it, and best time to go would be before and after main summer holiday season unless you like crowds

Everything was perfect. It is located in the crag proper,, which makes it the perfect location. The view from the terrace is superb The only issue was that we arrived on the day of a local festivity (The Moors and the Christians) so access to the hotel was restricted and finding a parking space was painstaking but this has nothing to do with the hotel, An excellent option if you plan to visit Peniscola which is a lovely city to visit-it is definitely worth visiting!

We spent in the apartment a month (april-may) with a baby 1yo. Generally very happy. Huge terrace, equipped kitchen, AC in living room only, private parking place, swimming pool. Very close to nice beach, caffee and great bakery around the corner. Bus stop to peniscola/benicarlo 5mins (1.25e), walking 1:10 to peniscola or 40m to benicarlo. This hotel had one of the only open cafeterias nearby, and it served good breakfasts and dinners. It is right in front of the beach, and within walking distance of the town and castle. The room was satisfactory. It looks much like the other hotels in a fortress-like wall along the beach. Great view from the beach of the castle.

Vintage decor emblematic of the rich history of Peñiscola. The common areas, dining room, lobby, garden and pool were beautifully maintained and attractive. The free parking was appreciated but very tight spaces for anything bigger than a compact car. Breakfast service was exceptional.
