This hotel is an oasis of tranquillity and with beautiful stone buildings and secluded lounge areas. The rooms are most comfortable and the AC is quiet and very effective. The staff are kind and most helpful. The adjoining restaurant offers a beautiful dinner menu, at very reasonable rates. The breakfast was self service and and had a good choice of food. The pool area is great to meet with pilgrims and cool off at the end of the day. Overall, a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings, offering quality service and value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel. The old town of Santiago de Compostela is around 25 minutes by car.

The property is located in a beautiful old stone building with very modern features. We all loved our rooms and spent time in the shared lounge watching television. It was a great value for the money, and right on the Camino, which made is super convenient for our group.

Staffs are nice
Very comfortable and super clean! The couch was made as a bed for our daughter. Yummy muffins and coffee for breakfast. Huge terrace! Nice assortment of brochures/ local information and recommendations. Very residential area, enjoyed dining out with locals rather than tourists. Can walk downtown and to Camino de Santiago.

It's a nice town with slightly different vibe to the others on the Camino, quite chilled and relaxed. Probably a good place for a rest day as the trails beforehand leave you quite dirty (in poor weather). Probably lots of history here also but didn't get time to explore. I ate at the Camino Portuguese which is a cafe bar/diner. There was fine dining in the town but that doesn always sit well with hiking the next day. Easy to get around on foot, better with a bike.

Padron is a small and charming town with real character.
Padron is a small and charming town with real character. The tree lined strip by the river is gorgeous, there are beautiful old churches and best of all, a decent selection of very very good restaurants. I stayed as part of the Camino and it was one of my favourite stops. There is a really nice buzz yet relaxed feel to the place.

My partner and I were just passing through on our way along the Camino so only stayed the night. There were certain restaurants like Pulperia Rial that were incredible and hospitality in local bars was fab but it’s not really a place you’d visit unless you were passing through!

Arrived on a Sunday so market day.
Arrived on a Sunday so market day. It’s the home of the Padrón pepper! Also there was a medieval celebration on the day so town was buzzing (surrounding roads and car parks were crazy) . Perfect location for the Camino De Santiago - Albergue Rossol was ideally situated.
Location perfect, near the Camino, the Church . The albergue, as I understand it was designed by people who had walked the Camino and knew from experience the needs of pilgrims. And they supply your needs before you even realise them yourself. Best designed alb I have ever been in. I am elderly/old and this year I booked all hotels except on two occasions. Next year I will staying hotels all the time except I will stay in Alb Corriedoiras. They are so very kind and caring.
The hotel complex was spectacular, natural stone, surrounded by nice gardens and outdoor seating areas. We stayed in a two-bedroom house with very nice leaving and kitchen areas, rooms with in-suite bathrooms on the second floor were spacious, well decorated and clean, with windows that you could open but had screens so only fresh air came in. We only ate breakfast at the restaurant that was very good, but another group raved about their dinner. Amazing employees!
For those of us walking El Camino de Santiago, the hotel is in a somewhat remote location past Padron, so we're kind of stuck there for dinner options. Bed was not that comfortable but room was otherwise ok. Dinner not great. Would advise against the Russian salad. We left early the next morning to get a head start into Santiago, before any staff were at reception, so didn't eat the breakfast; later heard from other pilgrims that we made the right choice.
We wanted to stay in a hotel where there was a front desk, restaurant, and close to center and the camino. This hotel has that altho we missed restaurant hours repeatedly. Staff were nice!!! Seems like it is family-run.
The room was a good size. They were able to store our bikes. Best thing was earlier check in and 12pm check out.
Close to the Camino as you enter Padron. Kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave, sink) in albergue to allow limited self catering. Room had aircon. Receptionist gave out paper map of town, and marked significant St James related sights, recommended restaurant serving late ounces - clearly geared up to welcoming Camino pilgrims.
The wonderful hostess makes this property! My daughter got food poisoning on the Camino and we arrived early in Padron and our host let us check in early, allowing my daughter to rest and recover before journey the next day. The host is incredibly kind. It was a clean and lovely place to stay.
Beautiful hotel. Wish I could stay there every night! It had a subtle sense of luxury and was very comfortable, modern and spacious. The staff were extremely friendly, the bedroom and bathroom were incredible and breakfast was also really good. Plus in a super central location.
Great location for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela. When you stay in this place instead of Padron, you will have shorter distance last day. Room was nice and comfortable.
Man from hotel stuff was kind and helpful and he spoke English which is not common in Spain.
Wow. This place is a gem. The hosts are so warm and welcoming. We ate dinner they made in the beautiful back yard. The rooms feel updated. The town is about half way between Padron and Santiago. So a great place to stop and restore before your final walk yo the cathedral.
- good location - quiet area just across the old town
- decent and spacious room
- friendly host who provided us the details and insights of main visitor spots in Padron
- breakfast is available early in the morning and at reasonable prices
We liked the location because it was close to the downtown area of Padron. It was clean and had wonderful, super helpful staff. The bathroom was very clean and nicely renovated.
Well located hotel close to the Xardín Botánico de Padrón and a few minutes from the station. On the Camino too.
Seems a very popular place.
