A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas...
A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas and the place was lit up. The people were great.Reindeer pulling Santa’s slay was a huge surprise. We didn’t go to the thermal pools, one was being refurbished, one was flooded due to the river being high and the other didn’t appeal.

Very difficult town to navigate as buildings are many stories high so no visual points of reference. Also if driving most streets are one way. It took us ages to find our hotel despite SatNav. We only stopped one night and where happy to move on.

We stopped for one night along a trip from Vigo to Astorga to experience the thermal springs. In the morning we bought towels at the Bazaar down the street, ate breakfast and headed to Outariz parking. A short walk to the pedestrian bridge over the Miño river got us to the free termals. It was very nice. We will be back!

Ourense was okay.
Ourense was okay. You heard a lot of noice in the appartment, the traffic light for pedestrians sounded like an alarm, very annoying. Also the appartment had a very unnice smell. The checking in and out was not easy, we received 4 keys, and the parking of the car was only possible from the moment of the check in.

The best bit about Ourense is the thermal springs.
The best bit about Ourense is the thermal springs. Some are free and some are paid for. We went to the free ones at Chasqueveira. You can walk from town. Just take your costume and a towel and you can leave them on the edge while you have a dip. Go anytime. We have just been on a chilly, cloudy late September weekend and they are fantastic. Well worth going.
Hotel is top with nice & friendly personal. But the reception is not aware that the top Asador (Asador del Roa) in the city is permanently closed. But the lady facilitating the breakfast wins the Nobel price for us. To the point and doing the job in difficult conditions, meaning to say the room is too small for all guests always coming on the same moment. Book this hotel!. My few remarks are for supporting the hotel and the staff. I would welcome a good asador in Ourense. Perhaps an idea for NH and pr me to visit again.
Excellent central location. 20 min walk across scenic bridges to train and bus station
Room was spacious modernised. Super clean. Super comfy mattress.
Fast stable wifi. Good lighting. With light switches and power outlets by bed
Good outlook with blackout shuttering.
Quiet externally but internal sound isolation very poor. And neighbouring guests unfortunately talked til 5 in the morning. So sadly not very restful. Not hotels fault.
Would definitely recommend. Very good value for money.
This is a clean, efficient, nicely appointed, well-situated one bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in the heart of Ourense's historic zone. There is an additional sofa bed in the living room. You really couldn't ask for more at such a reasonable price. Best of all are the friendly and helpful owners Conchi and David who also manage this attractive property. And it is an easy walk to anywhere in the old town distict which becomes quite lively and festive when the sun goes down. Highly recommended.
The location, just ~120 meter on foot from Ourense's bus and railway station.
Fresh air through the window, and alternatively good air conditioning.
Do not get fooled by the hotel's plain two stars!
I booked when it was said the hotel was almost full, true or not, so I ended up in their most expensive room with a large roof terrace.
Maybe I wasn't exactly in need of the luxury, but it was very good value for the money. Many four-star hotels have less to brag about.
Location is great, having a cafe onsite -- and it's a pretty good one -- is nice. I've stayed here many times over the last 7 years, typically before and/or after a Camino, and I really like it. It's basic but clean and great staff at front desk. Beds are better than average. Ourense is a fine city and Galicians are great people. You can't go wrong for a night or two while catching a hot spring and enjoying the many sites along the river.
It is perfectly located, lots of parking very near (paid), checkin very easy. Clean room. Shower excellent, as well as the bed. Perfect for overnights if you plan to spend the day getting to know Ourense.
You can take your breakfast in the the Cafe at the corner and you get a free coffee if tou are staying at the hostel. There are other places to take your breakfast also, if you want more choices.
The spa in the hotel is alright. More like a jacuzzi type of setting. The rooms were clean, brand new decoration, good elevator. Not easy to park nearby, they have an agreement with a car park nearby for extra charge. Good location 2min away from the restaurants and bars in the historic center of the city as well as touristy areas. Not a bad place to stay.
Location was amazing, few miles away from Canion de sil, just to go in there need use road from Ourense side as road from Lugo side are very narrow and dangerous.
As we like old style houses we was enjoyed our stay, we feel like to travel 50 years back.
Village very interesting, very old abandoned houses all around, beautiful old church...
The view from the room balcony. The staff. The breakfast. Also, the localization permitted us to walk freely on the historical part of the city. Sadly, the fake information about the hotel parking prevent me from giving a better evaluation.
To be frank, there isn't much to highlight aside from its central location and the pleasant warm water with good pressure in the shower. The hotel's interior boasts a modern design.
Location is great, having a cafe onsite. It's basic but clean and great staff at front desk. Beds are better than average. Ourense is a fine city and Galicians are great people.
Very nice hotel, kind receptionist change the room for the room with balkony which was very nica after the camino day. Everything in the walking distance.
