There is not much to see or do in Lalín. We were there for Galicia Clarinet Festival. It’s very busy during this time and accommodation is difficult to get so book well in advance. The location is about a 30 minute walk from the centre but a shopping centre is about a 15 minute walk.
Caracas is set in Lalín, 14 km from Feira Internacional de Galicia, 31 km from Pazo de Oca, and 40 km from Pazo da Touza Golf.

The apartment is lovely, has everything we needed, and was so clean and comfortable. The host was wonderful, too, going out of her way to help us. I can highly recommend.

The host, Dani, was so accommodating and even picked us up from Estacion de Lalin, (we are walking the Via de la Plata Camino). He left us some basic provisions, ie,salt, pepper, sugar and the kitchen was well equipped. We could use the washing machine and there was an air dryer and balcony for easy drying.
It was great to be on the Invierno Camino route and visit the Pilgrim Office in Lalin and get a great sello.

Spotlessly clean in a handy location for restaurants, coffee and a short walk to get back on the Camino. Pilar was super friendly and informative and she gave us great advice for where to eat etc.! 😁

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money - the bed was comfortable and the little noise from the road didn’t bother me. The restaurant was closed but I was directed to a great local restaurant instead.

Very nice hotel, modern, good value for money. The AC was not working when we booked and they rang us to tell us in case we wanted to cancel as it was hot weather. They offered the pool free to guests in compensation. The location is a good jumping off point for Santiago de Compostela.

I really did not see the city as arrived as a pilgrim late in the afternoon. Leaving the city on foot the next morning, I enjoyed a huge city park/nature preserve following the river. That was gorgeous and full of ducks and plants and runners and locals enjoying a Saturday morning.
