Extremely pleasant experience staying at Hotel Portman. Fantastic base to explore the incredible scenery and historic mines of Portman. Night porter stayed up late to check me in after my flight was slightly delayed Attentive staff who responded to every need - room was serviced and cleaned every day. Wonderful breakfast, served with a smile and the best fresh orange juice, strong coffee and selection of fruits / warm and croissants. On site restaurant with a tasty menu and local wines.

The hotel is from the 70s so external and internal reflected this. I paid 30 Euros for a single room was acceptable.. Room well cooled with AC and with shutters and double windows kept room well insulated from outside heat, Slept well, even though at ground floor and road side of hotel due to double windows, Large Fridge in room with ice compartment was great,
There are small, but clean rooms with air conditioning, staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was average, but tasty. You can choose from Spanish ,,tostada’’ or something sweet like croissant, also have coffee and juice.
Parking is in front of hotel and is free.
air conditioning was next to bed which was perfect due to heat outside. Large fridge in room with freezer part, so food, ice and drink kept well cooled. Parking in front and side of hotel.
Staff was nice, breakfast was good and the room was comfy and clean. There's a parking for the guest of the hotel. Position is good to visit the area around. Recommended!
Comparing to other more highly branded hotels the rooms are really quiet. Also really clean. If you have a car its a better stay comparing to hotels in Cartagena.
