The host, Alejandra, was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. The house was spacious and comfortable, with interesting art to enjoy throughout the home. The pool room was brilliant for relaxing and reading. It was very easy to reach the house from the airport, and it was easy to get to various attractions across the island by car (approx. 30 mins to the caves, the underground lake, and the Haria market; approx. 30 mins to the volcanic national park; approx. 25 mins to the cactus garden; approx. 15 mins to the Cesar Manrique foundation/museum; approx. 10 mins to large local supermarkets and a very helpful pharmacy; approx. 15 mins to Puerto del Carmon restaurants and nightlife). The house is in a lovely, quiet location tucked away from the busy tourist resorts, allowing for a peaceful break. There is a local shop just a few minutes walk away, and it even stocked some basic gluten-free items (bread, pasta, biscuits), which was a big bonus for us and an unexpected delight!

Immaculately clean room with comfy bed and great shower. Great view of the beach from the balcony. Friendly staff and good breakfast buffet included with plenty of choice. A rooftop terrace with a pool, gym and bar. Shops and restaurants + bus to Costa Teguise all within easy walking distance. Breakfast is super nice, chef cooked omlette with your chosen ingredients and prosecco on the ready. And everything else you'd expect. Rooms are very well equipped, clean and well maintained, the bed was comfy. Pool area is super fun to hang out in, though there should be more loungers. Spa was amazing, tried the spa and the massage.

Guime is a five minute drive from the airport - it is a village on the hillside above the airport and Playa Honda. It has a village shop and one bar. Buses pass through every 1.5 hours or so. It is extremely quiet - it is not directly on the flight path. The only sounds were usually dogs barking in the distance and a cockerel somewhere or other. There is very little through traffic and only a couple of minutes from San Bartolome, walkable in about an hour at a relaxed pace. there is a nice Pizzaria in San Bartolome as well as a number of shops.

It was comfortable and the view was great, but the kitchen was strange. Stuck in a cupboard on the balcony. Plenty of parking and a supermarket just down the hill. The hosts were very friendly but there should be a sign for reception as we had no idea where to go when we arrived. A sign on the gate would also help guests know they were in the right place.
It might be difficult to get around without a car as it is on a hill a few Kms from the sea.

Beautiful little town.
Beautiful little town. I didn’t have a rental car but it was quite accessible by bus from Arrecife and Playa Honda (and from there to the rest of the island!) Small but well-stocked supermarket and a truly lovely little bar, La Bodeguita del Guime, for snacks and drinks.

There is not much to do in Guïme.
There is not much to do in Guïme. It is a very quiet place, good for rest. It is not far from the airport (15min by car) but planes are not flying over.
There is a small supermarket at 5 or 10 minutes walking.
You need a rental car when you are staying in Guïme.(although, I must say there is a bus stop so I suppose you can take a bus to Puerto del Carmen or to Arrecife)
It is quite centrally located. Good place for visiting several beaches + the Timanfaya National Park. Puerto del Carmen is about 15' by car, playa blanca and the volcano park about 25 or 30 minutes.
