Great customer service, spotlessly clean with great comfy bed and crisp sheets; lovely outside area where you can open a bottle of wine, that you’ve bought on your wine travels or it’s inexpensive at the hotel. Fran happy to give recommendations for local restaurants and the walk into Cambarros isn’t too far (10-15 mins) to reach the restaurants and unique town

Beautiful little cottage in the heart of the lively old part right on the sea. The interior is nicely and effectively designed for the space. The view from that window is the best of the best. Check in and out and communication with Patricia flawless and accurate. Really enjoyed it.

Kindly Carmen met us after I took a wrong turn into a nearby supermarket car park! She got us out and into her car park but it was a bit of a hike to the property from there. All to do with the weird geography of Combarro, to be honest. I would stay out of the pedestrian area next time. Nice place on the first floor. She suggested we eat at Tinta Negra. She was right!
Beautiful house and garden! The apartment is spacious and clean, the location is perfect, and the host is very reachable and easy to communicate with. It was very helpful to have the parking space nearby. I wish we had more time to spend here!

Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved.
Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved. Having a car it is a great base for exploring and enjoying the gorgeous beaches specially further west along the coast.
I was however looking forward to a change of restaurants after a week in Combarro as the emphasis is understandably on fish.
Restaurant O Bocoi was good and Taberna Leucoina was great tho pricer.
Old town is very compact but with steps, the main town is easy to navigate.

There are 2 streets intended for tourists.
There are 2 streets intended for tourists. You can walk those slowly. After that, you can walk for exercise and then walk every possible town street slowly within 2 hours. So, it's tiny, but this mariner village is exquisite, and an absolute Must-see. The architecture is unique to the area, the artesanal shops are fun and plentiful (a half dozen or so), and there is little better than to sit and relax and enjoy chiperones, pimientos de Padrón, etc., on any terrace overlooking the river. This town is beautiful day and night. There are plenty of places to eat well.
If you come for the beaches, beware.
They are extremely small, and offer no parasols or lounge chairs for rent. In fact, the beaches are too small for all that stuff. And beware of the tide cycle. The tides cycle out of the river gulf, or inlet, so that instead of a hot day swimming, you may enjoy only a curious time walking 🚶 the bed and seeing some boats dry docked. You'll have to time your swimming with the tide cycle, which changes about 4 times every 24 hours, so be aware of that. And, it is not exactly for swimming, but more for wading and cooling off in. It is perfect if you're traveling with small kids or the elderly that do not enjoy depth or waves. Here the water is for wading, sitting and cooling in. Very calm and tranquil.
Also, be aware that Google maps is NOT up to date. For example, it shows the restaurant, "Porta do Mar Asador" as open with great reviews when, in fact, the place closed permanently in 2020, so change your plan. Alternatives are abundant, so, no worries.

A wonderful place to stay.
A wonderful place to stay. It is close to the coast and lots of restaurants around. The place is very private and the interior design is modern and very comfortable. Will come back again if the opportunity comes.
The staff were friendly, courteous and always available to help. Cycle storage was secure. Breakfasts were fantastic and when requested early breakfasts were provided without hesitation. I travel alot and this rates as high as the Marriott in quality and better for value for money. Manager always gave advice on where to eat and even booked Taxi's for us when in short supply. In short a sublime experience and as the Triathlon Championships come back in 2025 - we have already booked to secure this hotel
Really friendly warm welcome from host family (without being in any way intrusive). We picked amazing tomato, peppers and lemons from the garden, and fresh roast chestnuts and home made wine were brought to our door. There was a well equipped kitchen, a near by super market and several nice harbour restaurants in Combarro. Easy bike or car trip in to Pontevedra.
Etc etc super clean, comfortable, cozy, lots of outside space with sun and shade, easy parking....
Nice, comfortable, clean room. Helpful and welcoming staff. Very nice outdoor pool (salt water) and lovely garden area to relax in. Varied and plentiful breakfast buffet. Hotel is located at the edge of town about 10 minutes walk from the historic fishing village which has lots of restaurants on the water. The hotel manager recommended an excellent restaurant and suggested we visit the historic section of town.
It’s the best place to stay while trekking on the camino Portuguese Variente Espiritual! Carmen has built every peregrinos dream Albergue. The bathrooms/showers are fit for queens/kings and towels are provided. The beds are comfy and real sheets and comforter blankets are a true highlight. The yard/outside sitting area has an amazing view of the Combarros village and bay. I will be back again and again!
It's a beautiful old stone building with charming quirks. The main bedroom was beautifully decorated. Loved the doors as you could open just the top to let air in and there is a wooden flap that opens up to a glass panel to let some light into it which is much needed. Location is great as it's in the popular Combarro area. The apartments have a lovely communal garden.
Located on the Camino, central to the historic area of Combarro, quiet, cozy, clean, well thought out layout with all the amenities a traveler could want, kitchen that equipped us to make a simple meal, bath with a tub and a washing machine. Super cute place with fabulous views from the small balcony and living area windows. Grocery store within walking distance.
One of the best places I’ve slept so far; the owners (Sr Luis and his wife Sra Maria Angeles) are amazing and helpful hosts. The hotel is very close to the Camino Variante Espiritual and restaurants, has a bar and breakfast (fee) in the morning. Rooms have everything you need for a break from hostels or albergues, super clean, I would recommend and stay again.
Extremely helpful host, nothing was too much trouble. He helped us book taxis to transport our luggage on The Camino and contacted our next destination on our behalf.Very good, clean and comfortable accommodation with great views over Combarro port and great value for money.
We loved our stay in Combarro. Mari's place was in the perfect location with great views. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Mari was a great host. We also enjoyed dinner at her family's restaurant that evening. We'll be back!
The hotel is quite older, but everything is in great shape and very clean. If you get an ocean view you will not be disappointed, it is breath taking. If you are walking Camino, the hotel is just on the way, next to the trail.
Very well appointed apartment in a super location overlooking the Marina in Combarro. Nicely furnished with well equipped kitchen and spacious bathrooms. Nice outside terrace with furniture with views to the sea.
The location of this hotel is perfect. It is easy to find. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed our stay.
clean. functional. good shower. comfortable bed. close to combarro village which is gorgeous with lots of fab restaurants. nice view of the sea from the bedrooms.
