Getting around was a breeze thanks to the availability of Tuk Tuks right outside the hotel. Whether we were heading out to explore the local sights or needing to run a quick errand, the Tuk Tuks were an easy and fun way to navigate the area, adding an authentic touch to our travel experience.
The hotel staff were the heart of our experience. They were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly attentive and helpful. A special mention must go to how they took care of one of my friends who fell ill during our stay. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring that medical assistance was provided promptly and checking in regularly to see if there was anything more they could do to help. This level of care and attention made us feel truly valued and taken care of.

The trip to Abu Simbel is definitely worthwhile and was easily arranged through the staff here. I have heard the Nubian museum is very good. Philae Temple is also a very good trip, however the tours usually include a visit to the Aswan dam. The visit to the dam was 200 EGP, and I would recommend against paying this. Instead, you can stay sitting in the car and see the same as those paying. I did a late afternoon visit to St Simeon's monastery, accompanied by Eslam. It is an easy 10 minute walk up and was great fun running around in the desert in the late afternoon sun. The Nubean village was pretty, however Elephantine Island is much more authentic. The archeological area and small museum at the southern tip of the island was so-so.

One of the most stunning regions along the Nile river is in Aswan. The picturesque Philae temple is accessed via a boat and the entire region has stunning rock formations that compliment the impressive temple. It’s magical sailing into Philae temple. On the other side, Felluca boats dominate the Nile and create the most charming atmosphere with the backdrop of tomb sites on a desert sand mountain. A quick boat ride takes you to the Nubian village where you can indulge in shopping Nubian handicrafts and amazing Nubian food. Nubian village is so colorful and filled with the most warm people.

The best is the Nubian Village with their blue houses and a lot of decoration, you feel that you are in a movie set! It is really beautiful location.
Close it's the Philae Temple which is amazing! The trip in boat is necessary to access it and actually better than what I was expecting.
The worst is the amount of street animals in poor condition. Do not go on a tour around it as it's unnecessary and you will be taken to see crocodiles in small cages, we didn't do it specially for this reason. Anyway the village is easy to walk around if you don't mind the amount of people asking you to go to their shop, but that is in any part of Egypt

Great place as it's very far from big cities.
Great place as it's very far from big cities. However, you must be aware of constant harrassment and big prices on anything. It's definetely worth visiting, but don't think it's worth more than three days. Elephantine island is a MUST to stay and walk - very cozy place and very friendly people.

Much more laid-back than Luxor and a world away from Cairo.
Much more laid-back than Luxor and a world away from Cairo. Abu Simbel is only 3 hours away by car and was a high point of our Egypt trip. Philae is a nice excursion, and the Unfinished Obelisk and its quarry are interesting. We stayed in a hotel right on the Nile in the Nubian Village and would recommend that lower-key vibe.
The road from Luxor to Aswan has more speed bumps and check points than you can imagine; the good road on the West Bank is closed to tourist traffic. Ya gotta be patient. Consider the train...
The Aswan High Dam is rightfully a source of pride for the Egyptians but they don't let you see much of it for security reasons. You could spend your time better elsewhere.
Don't forget a pocket full of small bills (5-10-20s) for baksheesh for toilets, helpers, temple guards, etc. Be prepared to pay for meals in Egyptian pounds in smaller restaurants.

Beautiful historical places to visit from here.
Beautiful historical places to visit from here. Philae Temple and Abu Simbel (a 3-hour trip from Aswan) are the most chosen. But you can also enjoy the Nile kayaking, swimming or even crossing to Elephantine Island for a sunset drink or dinner.

In 2019 i'm falled on Kassem on a street of Elephantine Island, he help me because the guest house i had booked on Booking.com was closed definitely and he proposed me to sleep in his new guest house... i was the first guest of this place and i come back again this year for 6 nights, it's the most quiet and perfect place for rest in Egypt. Kassem are a really kind person and i hope to back for a third round in the future ^^
Best hotel in egypt so far, beautifil rooms, owner and staff are so kind and helpfull they will make you feel like home. Aswan is a beautiful city.
Breakfast is good, restaurant is good. Mostafa the captain of the boat is a very good man he will take of you and Ahmed also the manager is very kind and helpful. Thank you again for everything
The hotel boasts a very comfortable bed and is exceptionally clean, situated in the heart of a unique village. There's a good restaurant nearby. Most importantly, the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They even assisted in booking a trip to Abu Simbel temple at very reasonable prices. I'll definitely return to stay here again.
Very Nice and Amazing Location. It is an Island inside the Nile river in Egypt with a fantastic view. If you visit Aswan you Must stay in this hotel (Because of it's fantastic location on the nile).
Big up to Sherif and Mohamed, very good people and services. The breakfast was very good for an Egyptian Hotel well done.
And the localisation is insane, the cafe is literally in front of the Nil
