Ugandi Hotel is close to the city center of Otepaa and walking distance to activities. Breakfast was amazing with many options to choose from. The staff went out of their to be really good hosts and helpful. They even gave us a jar of local honey when we checked out. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Little details such as lighting and room decor made it very cozy. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Very comfortable and neat appartment, efficient heating which matters in the winter when we have stayed there. Cosy surroundings, fantastic location just few minutes from the lake where you can start your cross-counrty skiing at at a well maintained classical trail from this lake (Otepaa) to Kaariku for the first day. Also great classical trails along the famous Tartu Marathon. And a very kind host, Mati. Our stay was just fantastic.
P.S. In Otepaa very well supplied Konsum Coop to do basic shopping.

We love Otepää & Pühajärve.
We love Otepää & Pühajärve. Fantastic central location in South Estonia. Plenty of hotels, apartments & guesthouses to rent. Perfect for taking day trips to surrounding areas & sites. Town itself is very pretty & has great grocery stores. People & service is exceptional. My husband had a headache, but in Estonia pharmaceuticals are only sold in pharmacies - no headache tablets in grocery stores or petrol stations etc. It was late in the evening and all pharmacies were closed. We went to the local petrol station in hopes to find some pain killers only to find out they are only sold in pharmacies, so the lady at the counter gave us some of her own headache tablets ♥️♥️♥️
I love wild swimming & Pühajärve lake has a great sandy beach + beautiful park for those who love walking. Plus there is a boat rental etc available.
All in all a great place to enjoy nature 🪷🌿🤍

Otepää and the surrounding area is perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, cross country skiing (summer and winter) and even ski-jumping if you can :)
Beautiful oak forrests, nice barbecue spots and well kept little beaches close to the lake.
Half an hour drive to Tartu.

It was the best idea to rent a car from Tartu and travel to Otepää with car. There are many different places to visit with car. Really enjoy'd my visit to Pühajärve jaanituli. Really looking forward to coming back.

The private rooms are well-equipped and spacious, ensuring that everyone has enough space to relax and unwind. The kitchen is also big enough to accommodate multiple people, making it easy for guests to prepare meals together.
Really nice hotel just next to Tehvandi ski stadium. Very nice and polite staff. There are parking spots for cars, big room, comfortable beds, decent breakfast. We travelled with kids and also booking an extra bed went really smoothly and as room was big, then it fit nicely to the room. Really great value for money. Otepää is also a really nice area to visit + it is just half an hour drive away from Tartu.
Kalda Holiday offers excellent option for family vacation - rooms are clean, great sauna and kids enjoyed outdoors with trampoline.
Well located near Otepää to have different activities near by for longer stay during any season.
Kitchen has everything needed for cooking/eating.
Communication with hosts was pleasent and fast :) would love to come again and enjoy hot tub during summer night.
The breakfast was great. Location is also good, as it is a walkable distance from the Vaike Munamagi ski resort (~25 minutes), and even close to the town center (~10 minutes).
The staff of the hotel was very nice, they let us in earlier than the check-in time, and when we checked out a day before, they did not charge us for the night that we did not use, that was very kind of them.
Very central location which could even be a bit noisy at certain times when all windows are open.. Very large apartement, lot of space. Well equipped kitchenette, you can prepare own meals. Beds were ok, strong wifi. We even did not see the host, contactless key transfer. Parking in the yard.
A quality stay as always, we have stayed here before. Perfect for both family or couple getaway, would recommend. The staff is accomodating and professional and the restaurant is one of the best in Estonia. Very happy the hotel accepts pets (for a very sensible extra charge).
Good location, few minutes walk from bus station, supermarkets, tourist info. Bedside plugs. Spacious room, comfortable (though noisy) bed. The apartments looked
nice. Old wooden house with some modern conveniences. Clean. Cheap. The host was responsive to issues raised.
Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. I wish I knew more Estonian, but I sincerely appreciate that everyone I encountered spoke English. I don't expect this in all the various countries I visit, but it makes my trip much easier. Thank you!
We had a nice little getaway from the city, perfect spot for unwinding. Most of the windows were facing the backyard/forest, which made the place have a more private feeling. We really enjoyed the sauna and the open kitchen space.
It’s a magic hotel in the magic place. You are in the middle of the wood, you can feel a wild nature and the same time you feel fully comfortable and have everything you need as well as you are in luxury 5 star hotel.
The hotel owner was so nice and friendly! Exceptional breakfast! Superb room. We staid in the premium room first floor. Very clean, high quality bed linien and well designed room - made our stay perfect!
Very nice stay at a fully equipped house. Perfect stay with the family. Kids loved watching the dog and the sheep herd from windows. 3 minute car drive from Pühajärve and 5 minute drive from Otepää.
