Ugandi Hotel is close to the city center of Otepaa and walking distance to activities. Breakfast was amazing with many options to choose from. The staff went out of their to be really good hosts and helpful. They even gave us a jar of local honey when we checked out. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Little details such as lighting and room decor made it very cozy. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Very comfortable and neat appartment, efficient heating which matters in the winter when we have stayed there. Cosy surroundings, fantastic location just few minutes from the lake where you can start your cross-counrty skiing at at a well maintained classical trail from this lake (Otepaa) to Kaariku for the first day. Also great classical trails along the famous Tartu Marathon. And a very kind host, Mati. Our stay was just fantastic.
P.S. In Otepaa very well supplied Konsum Coop to do basic shopping.

We love Otepää & Pühajärve. Fantastic central location in South Estonia. Plenty of hotels, apartments & guesthouses to rent. Perfect for taking day trips to surrounding areas & sites. Town itself is very pretty & has great grocery stores. People & service is exceptional. My husband had a headache, but in Estonia pharmaceuticals are only sold in pharmacies - no headache tablets in grocery stores or petrol stations etc. It was late in the evening and all pharmacies were closed. We went to the local petrol station in hopes to find some pain killers only to find out they are only sold in pharmacies, so the lady at the counter gave us some of her own headache tablets ♥️♥️♥️
I love wild swimming & Pühajärve lake has a great sandy beach + beautiful park for those who love walking. Plus there is a boat rental etc available.
All in all a great place to enjoy nature 🪷🌿🤍

Otepää and the surrounding area is perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, cross country skiing (summer and winter) and even ski-jumping if you can :)
Beautiful oak forrests, nice barbecue spots and well kept little beaches close to the lake.
Half an hour drive to Tartu.

It was the best idea to rent a car from Tartu and travel to Otepää with car. There are many different places to visit with car. Really enjoy'd my visit to Pühajärve jaanituli. Really looking forward to coming back.
At first we arrived at the hotel there was a bit of a reluctance from what it looked like. Cold Eastern European Hotel. But as time went on we fell in love with him. The breakfast was great, the pool and sauna were great, the bowling was ingenious and the massage was perfect. The view is breathtaking (we were in the winter) and true it was cold to walk around and enjoy the beautiful park but it gave us another good reason to come in the spring as well.
If you're looking for a place that can comfortably accommodate groups and families while providing an excellent location and top-notch amenities, then you might want to check out this place!

Excellent location in the very center of Otepaa, but with a private yard and quiet around. House looked new and nicely furnished. Easy to set up sauna or hot tub. All the needed dishes, pans, mixing bowls were included. TV was new with some streaming platforms already available, and hdmi cable. Comfortable and cozy place.
Very central location which could even be a bit noisy at certain times when all windows are open.. Very large apartement, lot of space. Well equipped kitchenette, you can prepare own meals. Beds were ok, strong wifi. We even did not see the host, contactless key transfer. Parking in the yard.
A quality stay as always, we have stayed here before. Perfect for both family or couple getaway, would recommend. The staff is accomodating and professional and the restaurant is one of the best in Estonia. Very happy the hotel accepts pets (for a very sensible extra charge).
Very nice and kind receptionist. Very clean place. Perfect location - next to stadium, restaurant and store. Fridge available. either in the room or in lobby. Suprisingly spacious room!
Ski tracks are right at the door of the hotel + there is a buffet option for lunch and dinner. You can have a very simple and comfortable active holidays there!
Beatiful place in an old manor house - do not expect a boutique hotel. Park and lake around the hotel. Breakfast was okay. Very good if you have your own car.
