So beautiful, like a mini resort in nature by the sea. All staff members were really nice and helpful. The pool was very clean and beautiful. Very relaxing place to be. The food a the restaurant was delicious!

Perfect secluded-feeling spot along the beach, only 10 minutes walk into town. Our room was large (with air-conditioning) and had ample outdoor space to hang out. The owners are really friendly and helpful and their dogs and bird are very cute. We started by staying here 5 days and ended up staying 3 weeks we loved it so much. Great place to come and slooooow down. You won't regret staying here!

The staff were very friendly and the location was beautiful and tranquil. I knew it was going to be a bit of a walk to get to town, and that was fine as the walk was stunning! Nice pool and delicious breakfast.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxed little town at the pacific coast of Ecuador. There is obviously an emphasis on eco-sustainable tourism and I really hope it will stay like that. It's perfect for a relaxed time at the beach with a decent but way sufficient infrastructure. I didn't check it out personally, but you can do some water sports such as surfing there as well.

Great beach for families - the waves are nice and the grade not too steep, so you have long rolling waves, perfect for body surf and for surfing.
There is an artisanal ice cream place just a bit off the beach selling awesome ice cream in homemade waffles!

I loved this little town on a beautiful stretch of beach. Wonderful, friendly, and welcoming people. Plenty of nightlife if that's your thing, yet lots of tranquility during the weekdays. I found my favorite places to eat, drink, etc., and loved that they welcomed me like a regular there. And since not many locals speak English, I really improved my Spanish, too. Great place--will come back again, I hope.
We stayed for 6 nights and the hotel was excellent, great room, great pool and very friendly staff, previous comments about no choice at breakfast has now been changed as there are three choices for breakfast everyday which were really good, the beach is stunning at low tide, our only gripe, which is not with the hotels fault, is the beach is littered with rubbish, mainly plastic, which there doesn’t seem to be any local cooperative scheme to clean up and really taints the beach, this aside I would thoroughly recommend the hotel
Fantastic value for money, we were the only guests and felt like we were in our own beachside villa. Room was excellent, and facilities in the property were great, including a well stocked drinks fridge and ice creams - really good idea as its a few km’s from Canoa centre. Access right onto the beach, pool with a view of the sunset, secure parking for our car and outdoor eating area for a romantic meal which our hosts kindly cooked for us!

Canoa Suites is really a little gem and you can see it is done with taste and love. We also love it that it is far away from the crowd and we enjoyed its tranquility.
Our room with sea view was very clean and spacious, the bathroom has hot water and plenty of towels provided, every day dry towels, wifi was strong, a big filtered water dispenser at free disposal. Tex-mex menu is varied and the staff at the restaurant especially David and Cynthia were very friendly.
Darwin and his family have a golden heart. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. They love to talk to you, give your tips about the surrounding and are super friendly. The mother even did my laundry (without asking a price).
The room was great and clean and they offer a cleaning service. The hostel is 10 minutes walking from Canoa so it’s very peaceful. The wifi was perfect!
Lovely structure right next to the beach. The room (we got a free upgrade to a 3-person room) was spacious and the shower had hot water. There are hammocks in the shared areas, as well as a kitchen and fridge that are free to use. The hotel manager was always available and very kind.
We were also able to book surf lessons directly at the hotel.
Great price/quality.
The view and location are what make this hotel great. Only 100 yards from the ocean and with a 2nd floor room that has a balcony and lots of windows, you will be hard pressed to find another for this value. Really comfortable bed, a good hot shower, cable TV (Spanish), and a very good breakfast is included.
It's a really nice place. It has a garden with hammocks and two outside kitchens. The staff was super friendly and helped me with any questions. The rooms and bathrooms were clean.
Advice: take some cash with you. You can't pay with creditcard there and Canoa has no ATM.
There are many hostels and hotels in Canoa and I stayed only at this one so I can't compare it to any others, but this one is excellent. The entire place is excellent from the people working here to the building to the location to the rooms.
The staff and atmosphere at Canoa Suites is everything you could want in a beach getaway. The staff is relaxed and friendly, the rooms are beautiful, casual and spotlessly clean, the food is fresh and delicious. I will be back!
It is the best place to stay in Canoa. The location next to the river and beach across the street hosts lots of birds. The swimming pool was an added bonus. The food was very good and the restaurant staff was amazing!

The balcony on the third has a sensational view of the beach. It was the primary reason why this hotel was chosen. Also, the shower was fantastic as it was hot and with good pressure.
