The studio apartment was beautiful, with great quality facilities and attention to detail. Everything you need is there and it’s great value for money. Close to the beach. The host and staff were very friendly and communicative and gave us some good tips for restaurants and things to do in the area. Highly recommended!

Ayampe is a quiet and extremely safe location. It is next to the Colibri trail which is one of the best birdwatching locations in Ecuador. This small place has a range of excellent restaurants which are very reasonably priced. It has good surfing available and the beach is fantastic and very quiet.

Ayampe is a beautiful little coastal town with an amazing beach and really good surf break. There are a number of lovely cafes and a great surfboard hire business, Otra. The locals are really friendly and it’s a perfect place to escape for a week or two to chill out and enjoy the simple things in life. There is plenty to do around the region including exploring the local fishing towns, visit Machalilla National Park, Los Frailes beach is really lovely and beautiful clear blue water. In Purto Lopez there is the most amazing artisanal chocolate shop, Pacha Chocolate Boutique. Veronica Alvarez does an amazing job making exceptional chocolate, Alfajores and brownies. It’s a must go to for anyone who likes chocolate.
We had a great stay over 4 nights but could have easily stayed longer! It is located at a beautiful beach which is not very touristy. Ayampe also is the perfect location if you are looking for something relaxed. The hotel with Anabel and Franziska is so great. They were so friendly and helped us organize some stuff (travel, surfing lessions etc). We felt very welcome and would definitly recommend it to everyone. The rooms are pretty and very clean. So really all in all perfect! Thank you two so much!
Great space, reasonably clean, with an amazing view of the sea. Apartment is large with a very nice kitchen and bathroom. Wi-Fi, hot water, AC all worked well. Complimentary breakfast was awesome. Reception staff was helpful and kind. Great location in the middle of the beautiful tourist beach area. Ayampe is a quiet village and the streets roll up at 8 most nights. Not a very social town but it is clean and gorgeous! Found some great restaurants including Los Orishas and Mali.
Ayampe is a little village where people come for surfing and nature. Very quiet place, so please don't expect some kind of Hilton style accomodations. Our cabana was simple, but nice. I particularly appreciated hot shower with great pressure and mosquito nets!!!

A beach (super clean) is only a block away from the property. Great tide pools there too!!!
Beautiful hostel in a perfect location, super close to the beach. The room was spacious, with a cute bathroom adjacent. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant serves delicious Italian food. I would definitely stay here again in Ayampe!
the Manager was fantastic. she was very helpful with local advice. the breakfast was great. the gardens were great. it was a fantastic stay and Ayampe was excellent too. communication from the manager is excellent if any issue or question at all
Drove through dirt road full of water. Got stuck once. When I got to hotel it was closed. Why keep booking page open if you are not even in business. Called no answer. Doors were shut at 7pm. Out of business
Hotel located at the waterfront. One of the few places in town that offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Service is very welcoming and friendly and they kept in touch with me before my arrival
we had the best time at Spondylus, Mari is the nicest guy and made sure we had everything we needed. it is beautiful, super clean, and very relaxing. best place we have stayed in Ecuador!
Easy walk to the beach, staff is amazing, and the restaurant is great. From what I saw definitely one of the more popular spots to eat or have a drink in Ayampe.
