There's so much to like here. It's in a farm area a couple of km outside of the town of Give. Behind the B&B are places to walk and enjoy the nature, which my family really enjoyed. A very nice European style breakfast is provided, which the owner prepares herself. The owner is quite helpful, and of course, no communication problems, as even many older Danes like her speak good English. Denmark can be a very expensive country to visit, but this place is a good value for the money. And of course, it's not too far from Billund Legoland (maybe 15km), which is why we came. Overall, my family and I really loved this place.
We spend 4 nights in the Zoo Hostel Givskud with 2 grown ups and 3 children (4-10). The hostel is nice and clean and has a good breakfast. The personal is very friendly. Also the common kitchen has everything you need. For 10DKK you can use the washing machine.
It is perfectly placed to take a trip to the Legoland (20min away).
When you stay in the Zoo hostel you only need to pay once the entry to the zoo to enter the zoo as often as you like during your stay.
Location is perfect, 3 min on foot to the zoo, 20 min by car to Legoland. Beautiful nature around, a breath of fresh air and quietness after Aarhus. There's a common kitchen where you can prepare food or make tee/coffee, children's playroom inside and playground outside, lounge for adults. Very nice design of the hotel with animal pictures all around.
Friendly staff, nice and clean room, basic but everything you need. Kitchen clean and tidy. Decent breakfast. Wifi. Great location. Free parking in front of hotel. Nearby supermarket. Zoo across the street (lovely zoo btw!), legoland 20 minutes. Vejle city is 20 minutes with a cozy city center. Would definitely recommend this hostel!
