First and second floor hotel with compact but very clean and comfortable room overlooking one of the main pedestrian areas, although this was relatively quiet early in the week. Bathroom compact but fully equipped. Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Very prompt laundry service and staff very cheerful and willing. A few minutes' walk from the railway station.

I often stay at the Tide when in Friesland. Why? Well, I booked a room there once because I knew that I would arrive during the wee hours of the morning... after dropping my sailplane off for servicing at M&D Flugzeugbau in nearby Friedeburg. Wilhelmshaven was largely rebuilt after WWII, but plenty of older buildings survive. Its history is fascinating and is well-depicted in the excellent Küstenmuseum (Coastal Museum, Weserstraße 58). The Deutsches Marinemuseum (Navy Museum, Südstrand 125) was recommended by locals and is ear-marked for a future visit.

We were visiting friends and so had a different approach to the place. However it would be good for a couple of day's "ordinary" visit with interesting locations around the town, but remember it is basically a garrison town. Its High street is a good shopping for the ladies and a visit to nearby town of Jever will give one the chance to visit its brewery and also an old 17th. century Schloss -right in the town centre.

Wilhelmshaven was really a refreshing and unexpected surprise. My family and I visited the city with no great expectations of any sort, however we were left "gasping for more". The city is not crowded at all, leaving you with the possibility to enjoy the vast bigness of streets, parks, museums, history and culture. It is visible that the city played a rather large historical role in the past, while at the same time is being kind of "left on the side" from the other nearby major centers nowadays, such as Hamburg, Lübeck and Bremen. This is something which allows you "to breath", while taking a stroll along the city... And even though there is still room for development and improvement within the city, there are already certain small things on place, which can take your breath away - a small hint: visit the marine museum and the rosarium ;)

The hotel is pretty well located in the middle of Wilhelmshaven so you find everything you need close by. Upon arriving I got a bundle of keys handed to me which I could use for all the doors so I could come and go however I wanted. I got showed around by one the employees and everything was really well maintained. My room was very tidy, the kitchen was clean as well and the bathroom was spacious enough to get ready in the mornings.
Staff was very friendly. The room was perfect for a solo traveler, and my god, what a great shower! Breakfast was also delicious, with fresh ingrediënts and great coffee. Longest night sleep I got in weeks, perfect start of my holiday. For 4 euro's, you can use their reserved parking spots across the street. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Wilhelmshaven!
The Room was quite clean. Other than the Showerhead, the Bathroom was in perfect Condition. My Stay was in Wilhelms Haven Hotel and this Hotel is quite close to Wilhelmshaven Train Station and reachable on foot. Although this Hotel is somewhat in a busy area, there were no traffic Sounds and no loud Noises. It was somewhat a peaceful Stay.
Walk in shower, elevator. For northern Germany a real asset: modern apartment, brand new. Bathroom was very clean. Very spacious. Quiet location at night. Free parking. Refrigerator equiped with the necessary amenities for a quick breakfast. Staff at City Valois Hotel very friendly and helpful, specially the lady from the day shift.
After the lubeck hotel it was like going to heaven !
Everything was excellent, a beautiful, big, modern hotel room and furnishings.
The breakfast was terrific , plenty of choice and catering for all tastes.
A quarter of an hour walk took one through the main shopping streets and to the railway station
Superior room was very well equipped and spacious, breakfast was great (in a booked table at the restaurant) and hotel staff was very friendly. Possibility of parking for free inn the back of the hotel is a positive plus. In summer time, the location is great.
Wow. What a beautiful location. What a beautiful hotel. The rooms have a different feel to them. The hotel is inspired by flight. Views of the harbor and a great restaurant downstairs. We may never visit this area of the world again but we will not forget it.
Beautiful hotel, excellent rooms for a relatively good price. The rooms are wonderfully designed and the bed was very comfortable. The location is far from the town center however it's in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful surroundings.
The outside of the hotel is not the most promising, however the rooms were a very positive surprise. Very spacious and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good, with everything in walking distance.
The food was very good, both breakfast and dinner.
The staff even had the right masks available.
Mine did not meet the German standard.

Beautiful location overlooking the Jadebusen. There is a beach and walkways nearby and also the city center of Wilhelmshaven is not too far away. The whole location is not too touristy.
