Great hotel in a good location. The owner was very helpful. We arrived at the end of the wine festival, so most of the restaurants were closed, but he sorted out a booking for us. Good access and facilities for cycle touring, so we would definitely go back.

Placed in the center of the historic city the atmosphere in the hotel was warm and welcoming, calm and quiet with a touch of luxury.
From our room we had overview of the work in the winery, and they produce good wines wich are paired with tasteful food. The room was great and had a newly renovated bathroom with high quality. You are in quite an old building so do not expect finishes on the level of a newly opened hotel. Then again the age is what brings the atmosphere, you can't have both.
If the hotel's wine isn't enough, you have many more producer's in the nearby area, all good producer's, and you can ride a bike to them.
The outdoor area, the courtyard, was not in use since it was late in the season, but the winestocks make a great canopie and covers most of the courtyard. The grape was ripe, hanging down from the bushes.

The location is great, it is in a center of a small German downtown, with cute streets and lot of restaurants around. We found a pet friendly restaurant just by sitting at a first one we liked, and our dog left with gifts (snacks) so it should not be a problem for people with pets.
The room was clean, spacious and had a nice interior. The beds were comfortable, tasty coffee and snacks waiting for you in the room.
I have to mention the bathroom, which in a classic/traditional interiors usually are older or small, but in this hotel it is modern, spacious with all the details you need for relaxing and freshening up.
Late check in is also possible and very comfortable, which was perfect for us since we were driving long distance and came later.
For this price it is definitely a gem.

Excellent location in the center of town with free parking behind the hotel. Very comfortable bed, plenty of hangers in the closet and bathroom essentials (shampoo, body wash, shower caps, etc) provided. Generous breakfast with beautiful fresh and dried fruits, yogurts, cereals, fresh baked breads, cheese and meats with eggs made to order. Exceptionally friendly staff. Hotel restaurant was top quality with delicious local offerings.
We only stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on a cycling trip. The hotel provided very good secure bike storage and the facilities were clean. This is a modestly priced hotel and the facilities and service match the price paid. The location is super if cycling the River Main cycle path. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there are several within a short walk.
great location with amazing views overlooking the fields. be aware that the hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays. we were really looking forward to eating at the hotel site, as it is located a 10-minute car drive from the city, however, it was unfortunately closed the night we spent at the hotel.
