Very small city, industrial.
Very small city, industrial. The streets are empty even on Friday and Saturday evening. All shops are closed. A lot of thugs and suspicious persons are sitting in the centre bored and doing nothing.
Might be dangerous if you are a woman and travel alone in the evening.
A bit off the Main River when biking but we’ll worth the extra 2km.. Very nice hotel with all modern features and fixtures. The staff was outstanding. Friendly reception , great locked bike storage garage , lovely garden are for sitting or dining . Our room #107 was very clean, bright and modern . Bathroom was also very clean with great shower water pressure .
On site restaurant was very nice with a very readable price point .
Breakfast was great with hot and cold food options.

The breakfasts were really good, even though we arrived after 9:30 each day (breakfast is until 10 am). Moreover, I asked one of the staff members to help me with of my personal problems (car issue) and he was very helpful. The view from the room is excellent, as well as from other locations of the hotel (e.g. terrace, elevator area). The city centre is close, approx. 5-10 minutes by walk.

Very enjoyable 2 night stay. Staff were fantastic, breakfast amazing and cleanliness exceptional. Greeted by a complementary glass of wine on the terrace. Schweinfurt was very nice and well situated for Wurzburg and many lovely towns. Highly recommended for business or pleasure.
If you want to stay downtown in Schweinfurt, this is an affordable choice. Nothing special about this hotel, except for its city-center location. So, you can easily walk to everything downtown. Hotel rooms had the basics.
